Climate change may affect rice-growing environments and disease epidemics. Therefore, the experiment was conducted at Prathum Thani Rice Research Center during 2011 – 2012 Effect of Climate change on the outbreak of rice diseases. The objective was to study two rice varieties, RD31 and PSL2 were planted every month throughout the year. Random survey for disease incidence was done in the rice plot, and meterogical data such as temperature, relative humidity and rainfall collected from the meterological station. Base on meterological data, the average annual temperature increased in the year 2012, but the average rainfall and humidity decreased. Disease found in 2011 were rice blast, brown spot, bacterial leaf streak and red stripe disease. Disease found in 2012 were rice blast, brown spot, bacterial leaf streak and dirty parnicle disease. According to the monitoring network of disease outbreaks in farmers, rice fields in Prathum Thani province, no outbreaks were reported in 2011. But in 2012 there were disease epidemics including blast and brown spot disease in February, ragged stunt disease in April, bacterial leaf streak disease in August and September and grassy stunt disease in August. The total area of disease outbreaks in Pathum Thani province was 469 rais in 2012.
การเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศอาจส่งผลต่อสภาพแวดล้อมของการปลูกข้าวและการระบาดของโรคข้าว จึงทำการศึกษาผลของการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศต่อการระบาดของโรคข้าว โดยปลูกข้าวทุกเดือนตลอดทั้งปี เดือนละครั้ง รวม 12 เดือน โดยปลูกจำนวน 2 พันธุ์ ได้แก่ ข้าวพันธุ์ กข31 และพิษณุโลก 2 ที่ศูนย์วิจัยข้าวปทุมธานี ระหว่างปี 2554 – 2555 สุ่มสำรวจการเกิดโรคข้าวในแปลงทดลอง และเก็บข้อมูลอุตุนิยมวิทยา ได้แก่ อุณหภูมิ ความชื้นสัมพัทธ์ และปริมาณน้ำฝน จากสถานีอุตุนิยมวิทยา พบว่าอุณหภูมิเฉลี่ยทั้งปีมีการเปลี่ยนแปลงเพิ่มขึ้นในปี 2555 แต่ปริมาณน้ำฝนเฉลี่ยและความชื้นสัมพัทธ์เฉลี่ยมีปริมาณลดลงจากปี 2554 ในปี 2554 พบโรคไหม้ โรคใบจุดสีน้ำตาล โรคใบขีดโปร่งแสง และโรคใบแถบแดง ส่วนปี 2555 พบโรคไหม้ โรคใบจุดสีน้ำตาล โรคใบขีดโปร่งแสงและโรคเมล็ดด่าง จากการติดตามสถานการณ์การระบาดของโรคข้าวในนาเกษตรกรในจังหวัดปทุมธานี พบว่า ในปี 2554 ไม่มีการแจ้งการระบาดของหน่วยงานเครือข่าย แต่ในปี 2555 มีรายงานแจ้งการระบาดของโรคข้าวที่ระบาดตั้งแต่ 10 ไร่ ขึ้นไป โดยพบโรคไหม้และโรคใบจุดสีน้ำตาลในเดือนกุมภาพันธ์ โรคใบหงิกในเดือนเมษายน โรคใบขีดโปร่งแสงในเดือนสิงหาคมและกันยายน ส่วนโรคเขียวเตี้ยพบในเดือนสิงหาคม รวมพื้นที่ที่พบการระบาดของโรคข้าวในปี 2555 จำนวน 469 ไร่
