Recently, regenerative medicine with autologous cells and tissues has been carried out for tissue regeneration. Basic research and clinical application based on tissue engineering have also been reported in joint cartilage regeneration. The physiological connection between the cartilages newly regenerated and natural ones is not always sufficient. Currently, to tackle the problem, the clinical application of DDS-based cartilage regeneration therapy has been tried.
