| O estudo teve como objetivo a avaliação da interferência de Trigona spinipes Fabr. (Hymenoptera: Apidae) na polinização e frutificação do maracujazeiro amarelo (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa). Foram realizadas polinizações natural e artificial, em flores com ou sem injúrias de T. spinipes. Foram avaliadas a percentagem de vingamento das flores, teor de sólidos solúveis da polpa e peso dos frutos. As flores com injúrias de T. spinipes apresentaram maior vingamento (64%) que aquelas sem tais injúrias (32%), quando polinizadas naturalmente. | Este trabalho objetivou o estudo dos componentes de produção na cultura do feijoeiro (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), quando se utilizaram os inseticidas sistêmicos Aldicarb 150 G (6 kg/ha) e Fosthiazate 100 G (10, 20, 30 e 40 kg/ha), além da testemunha. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida na Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Viçosa (MG), em abril-julho de 1994. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados com quatro repetições, sendo a unidade experimental constituída de 500 plantas. Avaliaram-se altura das plantas, número de nós, mortalidade de plantas, número de flores, vagens, óvulos e grãos danificados (identificando-se os causadores dos danos). | The objective of this study was to evaluate effects of total rainfall, mean temperature, natural enemies, chemical composition of leaves, levels of nitrogen and potassium on leaves and density of leaf trichomes on attack intensity of Thrips palmi Karny (Thysanoptera: Thripidae) and Aphis gossypii (Glover) (Homoptera: Aphididae) on plantations of the eggplant (Solanum melongena) in two regions of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Higher numbers of A. gossypii/leaf and T. palmi/leaf were observed in plantations of this eggplant in the Municipalities of Viçosa and Guidoval, respectively.
