| A alta dependência de importação de fertilizantes potássicos, além de elevar os custos de produção, deixa a agricultura vulnerável às oscilações do mercado externo, reduzindo a competitividade do agronegócio brasileiro, interna e externamente. Este forte obstáculo para a agricultura levou o governo brasileiro a instituir, em 22 de janeiro de 2021, por meio do Decreto nº 10.605, um Grupo de Trabalho Interministerial com a finalidade de desenvolver o Plano Nacional de Fertilizantes. | This is the 38th annual surveillance report concerning the nuclear power plant of Gravelines. Its very high power level results from six plant units located on the shore and is characterised by a cooling system with a coastal surface input and output. The production of electricity began in 1980 and reached maximum in 1986. Surveys concern monitoring of pelagic system (hydrology, microbiology, phytoplankton, and zooplankton), fish populations (larvae and eggs of Sole and Sprat) or crustaceans (shrimps), and benthic macrofauna (intertidal and subtidal). | The shellfish safety has long been considered a public health problem. The implementation of a regulation based on a bacterial indicator of faecal contamination has significantly reduced outbreaks of bacterial origin. However, epidemics of viral gastroenteritis due to the presence of noroviruses from human sewage persist. We demonstrated few years ago that oysters are not just a passive filter but are able to select some viral strains, via the presence of specific ligands, very similar to ligands observed in humans for these same virus. Ongoing developments, in conjunction with the application of metagenomic tools, will allow us to better understand the fate of some human pathogens after their release into the coastal environment. |

| In French Polynesia, black pearl cultivation now takes place on about 30 of the 118 atolls or islands. This activity has largely replaced copra, coconut oil and fishing as a source of income. Around 1,000 pearl farms, generally small ones of less than 5 ha, are registered. The pearl farms are mainly owned by families. In 1998, about 7,000 persons were employed in theentire pearl industry, from production to retailing. In value, this activity represents the first exportation of French Polynesian products. From 1988 to date, exports increased exponentially before leveling. Starting with less than two kilograms in 1972, exports have now stabilized at Il tons of "black" pearls. |
