Spatial arrangements and fertilizer doses on soybean yield and its components AGRIAMBI
Duarte,Tiago C.; Cruz,Simério C. S.; Soares,Guilherme F.; Sena Júnior,Darly G. de; Machado,Carla G..
ABSTRACT The aim with this study was to evaluate the effects of single- and twin-row spatial arrangements associated with different doses of fertilization on soybean yield and its components. The experiment was carried out at Federal University of Goiás, Campus of Jataí, in a split-plot randomized block design with 10 treatments and four replicates. Each plot corresponded to a dose of P and K fertilization (0, 50, 100, 200 and 400% of the recommended dose) and the subplots to two types of spatial arrangements: single and twin rows. The yield components evaluated were plant final population, number of pods and seeds per plant, number of seeds per pod, weight of a thousand grains and yield. The increase in fertilization dose, even at doses two and four times...

Nutrient accumulation in Eucalyptus bark at different population densities AGRIAMBI
Martins,Thales G. V.; Rocha,Maria F. V.; Nieri,Erick M.; Melo,Lucas A. de; Silva,Maria L. de S.; Silva,Diana S. N. da.
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to quantify the accumulation of nutrients in the bark of four eucalyptus clones at 12 years-of-age, planted at different population densities, and the values were extrapolated to kg of nutrients per hectare. The experiment used randomized blocks in a 4 × 3 factorial design and three replications, with four Eucalyptus clones (2486, I182, I144, and GG100) planted at three population densities (416, 833, and 1111 trees ha-1). The rigorous cubage of three trees per plot was performed by collecting discs of bark at the following heights: diameter at breast height (1.30 m), 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100% of the commercial height of the stem. The bark discs of each tree were grouped and used to determine N, P, K, Ca, Mg, and S...

The effect of planting density on ‘BRS Rubimel’ peach trained as a “Y-shaped” system Rev. Bras. Frutic.
Souza,André Luiz Kulkamp de; Souza,Edson Luiz de; Camargo,Samila Silva; Feldberg,Nelson Pires; Pasa,Mateus da Silveira; Bender,Angélica.
Abstract The densification of orchards has become a viable alternative for producers seeking a greater use of current area, as well as greater profitability. In this sense, the spacing and training system to be used in the peach tree planting are extremely important to facilitate orchard management and, above all, to maximize tree yield. Based on this, the present research aimed to evaluate the possibility of orchard densification and the use of different numbers of main scaffolds to recommend the best way of training and spacing the ‘BRS Rubimel’ peach cultivar. The planting was carried out in 2010, in the city of Fraiburgo - SC, and eight treatments with different spacings between the plants in the rows and number of scaffolds were evaluated during four...

Planting density and yield of cassava roots Rev. Ciênc. Agron.
Silva,Tiago Santos; Silva,Paulo Sérgio Lima e; Braga,Jéfferson Dantas; Silveira,Lindomar Maria da; Sousa,Roberto Pequeno de.
In Mata Fresca, an area located on the border of the states of Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará, in Brazil, small farmers have a source of income from the production of cassava roots, using planting densities of around 5,000 plants ha-1. This procedure might be helping to limit higher yields of the roots, since some studies have shown that it is possible to obtain higher yields of cassava using higher densities. The objective of this study was to evaluate the root yield and other characteristics of the cassava, as a response to planting density. The Vermelhinha cultivar was submitted to planting densities of from 5,000 to 21,000 plants ha-1, at intervals of 2,000 plants ha-1, in an experiment under irrigation. A completely randomized block design with four...

Growth of bare root Pinus taeda, L. seedlings cultivated under five densities in nursery Scientia Agricola
Carneiro,José Geraldo de Araújo; Barroso,Deborah Guerra; Soares,Luis Maurício da Silva.
Seedlings compete for nutrients, water and light. The available area for each seedling affects their behavior related to requirements for these resources. This experiment evaluated the influence of five plant densities on the growth of bare root Pinus taeda, L. seedlings in a nursery after outplanting. The analyzed characteristics were: height (H), root collar diameter (D), H/D ratio, and dry matter weight. Higher densities stimulated H growth and the lowest densities increased D average and dry matter weight and lowered the H/D ratio. Seedlings were distributed by H, D and H/D classes. Higher densities had a larger number of seedlings in larger H classes. Larger numbers of seedlings with larger D and lower H/D ratios were found in lower densities. Ten...

Siqueira,Célia Lúcia; Pereira,Marlon Cristian Toledo; Nietsche,Silvia; Xavier,Adelica Aparecida; Mendes,Athos Henrique; Xavier,Helisson Robert Araújo; Guimarães,Railton de Souza; Lacerda,Danilo Reis; Santos,Silvânio Rodrigues dos.
ABSTRACT Increased planting density, different types of thinning management, and the use of beneficial microorganisms have been adopted as strategic tools in the effort to increase crop yields in a sustainable manner. This investigation evaluated the growth and production of ‘Prata Anã Gorutuba’ banana ( Musa spp., AAB) under different plant densities during two production cycles in the semiarid region of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Micropropagated plantlets were also inoculated with endophytic bacteria and cultivated as part of two mat management strategies. Planting density varied between 1,680 and 3,920 plant ha–1. During the experiment, water was less than optimal because of rationing due to drought in the region. Under field conditions, there was no...
