| In 1974, the Swiss Federal Office of Agriculture (BLW) charged the former Federal Research Station for Agricultural Chemistry and Hygiene of Environment (FAC, Bern-Liebefeld) to set up a field trial in collaboration with the FiBL in order to compare the performance of organic farming systems.When FAC-Liebefeld was shut down, the Swiss Federal Research Station for Agroecology and Agriculture (FAL-Reckenholz) took over the responsibility for the DOK trial in close cooperation with FiBL. | Avaliaram-se o desempenho, o consumo e a digestibilidade aparente de componentes nutritivos em 32 ovinos Morada Nova em confinamento, 20 machos não-castrados e 12 fêmeas, recebendo dietas contendo 0, 30, 60 e 100% de melão em substituição ao milho moído. Os animais tinham em média 6 meses de idade, peso médio inicial de 15 kg e foram abatidos aos 25 kg. | PERSYST is a web software for ex ante assessment of crop yield that takes explicitely into account the cropping system (i.e. crop rotation and crop management) perspective. Environmental and economic indicators are calculated at crop rotation scale to complete the previous yield assessment. In 2012, a research program enabled the model adaptation to organic systems, taking into account weed management and organic inputs supply. | Experiments were conducted to determine how tillage intensity, the use of biofumigation brassica cover crops and mixed cropping with oats affect the performance of organic peas with respect to weed pressure, diseases, and yield. Fields were either ploughed to a depth of about 15-20 cm or only to about 8 cm in late summer followed by either Sinapis alba (low glucosinolate (GSC) content), Raphanus sativus (medium GSC) or Brassica juncea (high GSC). Brassicas were mulched in fall right before flowering and incorporated in the top soil. In mixtures with oats seed rate for peas was as in pure stands, for oats it was 20 %. | Gulerod (Daucus carota L. subsp. Sativus (Hoffm.) Thell) er en toårig plante og reproduktiv vækst (frøproduktion) sker efter en periode med kort daglængde og lav temperatur (vernalisering). I grønsagsproduktionen (1. år) tilskyndes hurtig rodvækst og gulerodens udvikling frem til færdigt produkt kan gennem- føres i en relativ kort vækstsæson. | Cílem tohoto pokusu bylo zhodnotit na dvou stanovištích s různými půdně-klimatickými podmínkami vliv travního mulče a mulčovací textilie na výnos hlíz, počet konzumních hlíz a velikostní zastoupení hlíz pod trsem. Výsledky prokázaly pozitivní vliv travního mulče na výnos konzumních hlíz a některé výnosové prvky porostu brambor na stanovišti Uhříněves (teplejší a sušší řepařská výrobní oblast) a mulčovací textilie v Leškovicích (chladnější a vlhčí bramborářská výrobní oblast). V průměru obou stanovišť byl výnos konzumních hlíz u parcelek s travním mulčem v porovnání s nemulčovanou variantou vyšší o 5,3 t.ha-1, počet konzumních hlíz pod trsem byl u porovnávaných variant podobný. |
