On Cyprian Helicellinae (Mollusca: Gastropoda Pulmonata: Helicidae), making a new start Naturalis
Gittenberger, E..
Our fragmentary knowledge concerning the Cyprian Helicellinae is revised and summarized, while new data are added. "Helicella (Xerotricha) conspurcata distinguenda" Haas, 1936, is a Helicopsis species that has to be called H. cypriola (Westerlund, 1889) as a consequence of the selection of a neotype for Westerlund's poorly described nominal taxon. "Helicella (Xerotricha) conspurcata arrouxi" sensu Haas, 1934 (not Bourguignat, 1863) is described as Helicella juglans spec. nov. This species stands apart among the Helicellinae by the lack of a separate penis. Neither material nor reliable records of Xerotricha conspurcata (Draparnaud, 1801) could be traced; only X. apicina (Lamarck, 1822) is known from Cyprus. The wide-spread "arrouxi" has also been found on...

A review of Chorthippus species with angled pronotal lateral keels from Greece with special reference to transitional populations between some Peloponnesean taxa (Orthoptera, Acrididae) Naturalis
Willemse, F.; Helversen, O. von; Odé, B..
This paper presents a summary of the current knowledge on the systematics of the Greek taxa of Chorthippus, morphologically characterised by angled lateral pronotal keels (usually grouped as Glyptobothrus). Prior to this paper, based on traditional morphology, ten taxa of Chorthippus with angled lateral pronotal keels were recognized from Greece. Based on morphology as well as (and more importantly so) bioacoustics thirteen Greek taxa are now recognised. With addition of a few additional related taxa that occur only outside Greece, all are treated in this paper: Chorthippus apricarius apricarius (Linnaeus, 1758), C. vagans vagans (Eversmann, 1848) (not in Greece), C. v. cypriotus (Uvarov, 1936) stat. nov. [Cyprus], C. v. africanus Nadig, 1981 [N. Africa],...

Taxonomic revision of the Neotropical Lauxaniidae genus Neopachycerina Malloch, 1933 (Diptera: Schizophora), with description of a new species Pap. Avulsos de Zool. (São Paulo)
Silva,Vera Cristina; Frare,Livia Maria.
Abstract A systematic review of the Neotropical Lauxaniidae genus Neopachycerina Malloch, 1933 is presented. The genus is characterized mainly based on some features of the head, like the anterior pair of fronto-orbital setae conspicuously shorter than posterior one and rather close to them; face with a distinct elevation between antennal bases; antenna slightly elongate, first flagellomere tapered to tip and about three times as long as its basal width, arista thickened by dense black short hairs both above and below, with some longer outstanding hairs on upper side basally. Although some authors have grouped it with some other genera based on chaetotaxy of the head, it was considered closer to Parapachycerina Stuckenberg. Other authors, on the other...
