ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the crop coefficient (kc) and respective water consumption of the Magali R. bell pepper hybrid cultivated in a protected environment from May to September 2015. Reference evapotranspiration was estimated using the Modified Penman-Monteith method and data were collected from an automatic weather station installed inside the greenhouse at the Universidade Estadual de Maringá, in the municipality of Maringá, PR, Brazil (23° 25’ 57’’ S, 51° 57’ 8’’ W, and altitude of 542 m). Abstract Fertigation can increase the efficiency of fertilizer application and facilitate the nutritional management of a crop. Thus, nitrate and potassium movements in a sandy loam soil were evaluated as function of fertilizer doses during three growing seasons of the grapevine cv. Syrah grafted on Paulsen 1103 rootstock (June to October 2013, February to June 2014, and August to November 2014) in Petrolina, state of Pernambuco, Brazil. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of ‘Tainung 1’ papaya produced under PRD in semi-arid conditions of northern state of Minas Gerais. Este trabalho objetivou avaliar o comportamento da vegetação espontânea com relação às taxas de decomposição de diferentes coberturas do solo submetidas à variação de lâminas de irrigação. Foram utilizados resíduos vegetais de Gliricídia (Gliricidia sepium), feijão-guandu (Cajanus cajan), capim Cameroon (Pennisetum purpureum) e Bambu (Bambusa vulgaris ‘vitata’). As lâminas irrigadas foram caracterizadas como T5, T4, T3, T2 e T1, correspondendo a aproximadamente 117, 100, 72, 59 e 38% da ETo. A decomposição dos resíduos vegetais foi analisada por meio de covered litter, em 2, 4, 7, 15, 30, 60, 90, 120 e 150 dias após instalação (DAI). Abstract The sweet potato is an alternative energy source, but its sustainability depends on efficient water use. The objective of this study was to evaluate sweet potato morpho-physiological characteristics, and water use efficiency (WUE). Irrigation depths of 50, 75, 100, and 125% of crop evapotranspiration (ETc) were applied. The morpho-physiological indicators, WUE, leaf area index (LAI), leaf water potential, leaf temperature, and leaf chlorophyll index (ICF), were evaluated.
