Abstract A list of species of Rutelinae from Bahia state, Northeastern Brazil, is presented. The list is based on specimens deposited in Brazilian collections. The list includes 4 tribes, 23 genera, 101 species and 17 subspecies. The genera Byrsopolis Burmeister, 1844, Pseudodorysthetus Soula, 2008 and Trizogeniates Ohaus, 1917 are recorded for the first time in Bahia and Northeastern Brazil. Six new species of Trichomyia from Atlantic rain forest of Bahia, northeastern Brazil, are described: T. itabunensis, T. onorei, T. queirozi, T. silvatica, T. sulbaianensis and T. teimosensis. The first two have palpi with four segments, similar to the other Neotropical species. The other four species have palpi with three segments, similar to other species with wide world distribution.

São descritas cinco espécies novas de Caenobrunettia Wagner do Brasil, Caenobrunettia baiana sp. nov., Caenobrunettia serrajiboiensis sp. nov., Caenobrunettia serrulata sp. nov. e Caenobrunettia variata sp. nov. da Bahia, e Caenobrunettia carioca sp. nov. do Rio de Janeiro. Apresenta-se uma chave de identificação para machos das espécies de Caenobrunettia.

Sycorax longispinosa sp. nov. is described from Serra do Cachorro, Pará State, Brazil. This new species is the first record of the genus from the Brazilian Amazon. An identification key for males of species of Sycorax from the neotropical region is presented.

Abstract The unknown female of Brasineura diamantina Silva-Neto & García Aldrete is described and illustrated, with new records and comments on variation in the fore-hindwing venation, based on 27 females and 113 males collected in five localities in the Chapada Diamantina, Bahia, Brazil. Thirty four types of variation and anomalies in the fore-hindwing veins were found. A revised diagnosis of B. diamantina is also presented.

Abstract Three new species of Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) (Trichomyiinae, Psychodidae), Trichomyia spatulata sp. nov., Trichomyia ciliata sp. nov., and Trichomyia recurva sp. nov. are described and illustrated. Additionally, we present new records of Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) armata Barretto, 1954, Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) quatei Bravo, 2001, Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) inermis Barreto, 1954, and Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) plumata Bravo & Araújo, 2013 in Brazil. An identification key for males of the subgenus was updated to include the three new species.

ABSTRACT Triorla Parks has been reported from the Nearctic and Neotropical regions with 10 described species: T. ambigua (Macquart), T. argyrogaster (Macquart), T. demifasciata (Macquart), T. interrupta (Macquart), T. nervosa (Macquart), T. parastriola Pamplona & Aires, T. rubidiventris (Macquart), T. spinosa Tomasovic, T. striola (Fabricius), and T. trichina Tomasovic. Two species, T. striola and T. parastriola, have been recorded from Brazil. This paper describes four new species of Triorla from Brazil: T. beckeri sp. nov., T. milineae sp. nov., T. paraensis sp. nov., and T. spatulata sp. nov., and includes comments on the morphology of T. parastriola. An identification key to the species of Triorla is provided.
