| This studyaimed to assess different holding pen climatization systems for dairy cattle through environmental variables, milk production and economic indexes. Sixteen lactating cows were used, distributed in a 4 x 4 Latin square design consisting of four groups of four animals, assessed in four periods, seven days each, and in four holding pen environments: SUN– external environment (in the sun), SHA– 80%-protection polypropylenemesh shading, SHA + SPR– 80% polypropylene mesh shading + water sprinkling, SHA + SPR + VEN – 80% polypropylene mesh shading + water sprinkling + ventilation. | Dois experimentos foram conduzidos com o objetivo de determinar o valor energético do milheto (Pennisetum glaucum) ADR 7010 e avaliar o desempenho e a viabilidade econômica dos frangos de corte alimentados com rações contendo níveis crescentes de milheto ADR 7010. No Experimento 1 foram utilizados 72 frangos de corte com 21 dias de idade em um delineamento inteiramente casualizado com dois tratamentos, seis repetições de nove aves cada. Were collected data of nutritional, reproductive and sanitary management pre and post-lactation period from 30 induction heifers (IG) and 30 pregnant heifers (CG). | This experiment was conducted in Lavras - state of Minas Gerais (MG), Brazil, in a protected environment, and aims to estimate the irrigation depths that maximize productivity and economic returns in the cultivation of asparagus bean and analyze the economic viability of irrigation management. The experimental delineation was randomized blocks with five treatments and four replications. | ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to evaluate a financial analysis by the use of precision agriculture (PA) techniques on cotton crop. The experiment was carried out in a cotton field of 91 ha and its result compared to another field with similar area, cultivated with the conventional agricultural techniques. The financial analysis was extrapolated to the total farm area of 3,500 ha. All agricultural inputs applied, during the 2013/14 cotton crop season were analyzed, as well as their costs. | The oregano is a plant, rich in essential oil and very used as spice in the preparation of foods. The objective of this paper was to analyze the viability of irrigation for oregano in Presidente Prudente, São Paulo state, Brazil, including economic risk factors, their effect on irrigation total cost, as well as the different pumping kinds. The Monte Carlo simulation was utilized to study the economic factors: fixed cost, labor, maintenance, pumping and water. The use of irrigation for the oregano in the region of Presidente Prudente is indicated because of its economic feasibility and the reduced risks.
