The notions of safety and working conditions on board trawlers are too often integrated when the building of the vessel is coming to the end. This guide gives the most relevant elements to deal with this problem right from the start of the design. Data collected on board of different type of trawlers has let to write a practical book intended for fishing vessels's designers : naval architects, shipyard design offices and shipowner's technical people.
