Three new species, four new records, and an updated species key for males of Trichomyia (Brachiotrichomyia) Bravo & Araújo, 2013 (Diptera, Psychodidae) 84
Araújo,Maíra Xavier; Bravo,Freddy; Santos,Claudiney Biral dos.
Abstract Three new species of Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) (Trichomyiinae, Psychodidae), Trichomyia spatulata sp. nov., Trichomyia ciliata sp. nov., and Trichomyia recurva sp. nov. are described and illustrated. Additionally, we present new records of Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) armata Barretto, 1954, Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) quatei Bravo, 2001, Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) inermis Barreto, 1954, and Trichomyia (Brachiotrichoyia) plumata Bravo & Araújo, 2013 in Brazil. An identification key for males of the subgenus was updated to include the three new species.

A new species of Trichomyia (Diptera: Psychodidae: Trichomyiinae) and report of antennal sensilla in adult 84
Araújo,Maíra Xavier; Bravo,Freddy.
Abstract This paper describes and illustrates Trichomyia muiraquita Araújo & Bravo sp. nov. from the state of Amazonas, Brazil. Furthermore, with the aid of a scanning electron microscope and light microscope, we report for the first time the presence of two small sensilla in flagellomeres of the Trichomyia species.

Two new species of Trichomyia Haliday 1839 (Diptera, Psychodidae, Trichomyiinae) from the Pantanal of Mato Grosso, Brazil 92
Araújo,Maíra Xavier; Bravo,Freddy; Carvalho,Claudio José Barros de.
Abstract Two new species in the Trichomyiinae (Psychodidae), Trichomyia pantanensis sp. nov. and Trichomyia lamasi sp. nov., are described and illustrated. New records are given for the two additional species Trichomyia spinicauda Araújo & Bravo, 2016 and Trichomyia hispida Araújo & Bravo, 2016. These four species comprise the first records of the genus in the Pantanal region.

Male and female association in Trichomyia Haliday in Curtis, 1839 using a molecular approach (Diptera, Psychodidae, Trichomyiinae), and description of new species from Brazil 92
Araújo,Maíra Xavier; Aragão,Marcos; Cordeiro,Danilo; Bravo,Freddy; Carvalho,Claudio José Barros de; Andena,Sergio R..
ABSTRACT A new species of Trichomyia from the state of Bahia, Brazil, is described and illustrated, and male and female are associated using DNA barcoding. Additionally, fragments of the COI of two other species, Trichomyia cerdosa Araújo & Bravo, 2016 and Trichomyia ituberensis Araújo & Bravo, 2016, and the females of two unidentified species, are sequenced.

A new subgenus and species of Neotropical Trichomyia (Diptera: Psychodidae) 103
Araújo,Maíra Xavier; Bravo,Freddy.
A singular group of 19 species of Neotropical Trichomyia Haliday in Curtis, 1839 presents four segments in the palpus, the first two partially fused; five of these species were included in the subgenus Opisthotrichomyia Bravo, 2001 and seven in the subgenus BrachiotrichomyiaBravo & Araújo, 2013. A new species from Brazil is described and a new subgenus proposed for four Neotropical species of this morphological group: T. biloba Quate, 1999 from Panama, and T. onorei Bravo, 2002, T. queirozi Bravo, 2002 and T. horrida sp. nov. from Brazil. Syntrichomyia subgen. nov. can be recognized by its fused gonocoxites and gonostyli, and by its bilobed hypoproct. A key to the known species (males) of this new subgenus is presented.
