| Um estudo de distribuição dos macroepizóicos foi realizado numa população do caranguejo-aranha Libinia ferreirae Brito Capello, 1871 proveniente do litoral dos estados do Paraná e de Santa Catarina. O material biológico foi obtido junto aos pescadores, e faz parte do rejeito de pesca. Os caranguejos foram mensurados e os macroepizóicos identificados e contados. Os seguintes macroepizóicos sésseis foram registrados: Calliactis tricolor (Lesueur, 1817) (Cnidaria); Actiniaria (Cnidaria); Arca sp. (Mollusca); Ostreidae (Mollusca); Acanthodesia tenuis (Desor, 1848) (Bryozoa); Cirripedia e duas espécies tubícolas de Gammaridea (Crustacea). | ABSTRACT The carapace length (CL) at the onset of morphological sexual maturity (MSM) in Aegla paranaSchmitt, 1942was estimated in a population located at Negro River Sub-basin, Upper Iguaçu Basin, southern Brazil. The animals were captured with Surber net and with baited traps in Negro River and in its tributary Totó River, in December/2017, June and July/2018. Carapace length of each individual was measured from the tip of the rostrum to the posterior margin of the carapace, with a digital caliper or under a digital microscope. | Um estudo sobre a flutuação anual da abundância, composição de tamanho dos indivíduos, proporção de sexos, período reprodutivo e de recrutamento dos juvenis de uma população de Uca maracoani (Latreille, 1802-1803) foi realizado no Baixio Mirim, Baía de Guaratuba, Paraná (48º36'W e 25º52'S). Os animais foram coletados mensalmente, de fevereiro/2005 a janeiro/2006, durante as marés baixas de sizígia, e a sua largura da carapaça (LC) medida. A temperatura pontual do ar variou de 17 a 29ºC, a luminosidade de 8.740 a 151.300 lux, a salinidade de 8 a 25 e a temperatura do solo (superfície, 5 cm, 10 cm, 15 cm e 20 cm de profundidade) de 18,3 a 28,9ºC. | Um estudo sobre a flutuação temporal da estrutura populacional do ermitão Clibanarius vittatus (Bosc, 1802) foi realizado no Baixio Mirim, Baía de Guaratuba, Estado do Paraná, Brasil (25°52'S, 48°36'W). Clibanarius vittatus é uma espécie largamente estudada, entretanto estudos da biologia populacional desta em diferentes regiões são escassos. Coletas mensais foram realizadas na zona entremarés, de abril/2005 a março/2006. Foram obtidos 1187 ermitões, dos quais, 949 machos, 22 indivíduos intersexo, 204 fêmeas não ovígeras e 12 fêmeas ovígeras. | A study on population structure of Aegla schmitti Hobbs III, 1979 was carried out at Mananciais da Serra, in the municipality of Piraquara, state of Paraná, Brazil (25º29'S, 48º58'W). The following aspects were treated: temporal fluctuation in abundance, sex ratio, reproductive period and size composition based on carapace length. The animals were colleted with traps, nets, measured and returned to the reservoirs. | The reproductive biology of Aegla caslro Schmitt, 1942 from Buraco do Padre, Ponta Grossa, Paraná State, was analyzed. The sampling was done monthly, from February/97 to January/98 with aid of hand net and screens at three stations, under an effort of 120 minutes. The mean air temperature ranged from 15.0ºC (May, July, September and October) to 24.3ºC (December and January), and the water temperature from 15.8ºC (July) to 22.3ºC (December). The dissolved oxygen oscillated from 95.7% (March) to 100.2% saturation (August) and the pH from 6.1 (July) to 7.2 (September). | Um estudo sobre distribuição espacial e abundância dos chama-marés Uca Leach, 1814 foi realizado na Baía de Guaratuba, Estado do Paraná. Foram coletados chama-marés de dez biótopos ao longo de um gradiente de salinidade de zero a 32 dentro da Baía de Guaratuba. Foram obtidas sete espécies, entre as quais, Uca mordax (Smith, 1870) que foi registrada somente em biótopos inundados por águas de baixas salinidades (de zero a 16). | Spalial and temporal density distributions of Amphipoda from the phytals of Caiobá are described. Air temperature oscillated from 16ºC (August and May) to 23ºC (March), surface water temperature from 17ºC (August) to 25ºC (March) and the salinity from 29.3 (May) to 32.8 (August). Two samples of 25cm² (for algae less than 5cm long), 100 cm² (for algae between 5-10cm long) and whole plants (for algae more than 10cm long) were removed with a spatula from the rocky surface at Caiobá Beach, in August/86, November/86, March/87 and May/87. | A study of the population of the xanthid crab Pilumnus dasypodus Kingsley, 1879 from rocky shore at the Farol Isle (25º51'S and 48º32'W) was carried out in the following aspects: temporal and spatial distributions of density, annual fluctuation of the sex ratio, size composition of the population and reproductive activities of the species. Monthly, four leveis in relation to emmersion time within intertidal zone were sampled, from May/90 to April/91, but Pilumnus dasypodus was obtained only in the levels 2, 3 and 4. | Os seguintes aspectos foram tratados sobre uma população do isopódo bopirídeo Aporobopyrus curtatus, parasito do caranguejo porcelanídeo Petrolisthes armatus: descrição e morfometria dos estágios de desenvolvimento, distribuição temporal da densidade relativa e da proporção de sexos. Adicionalmente, um provável ciclo de vida do parasito foi proposto. As coletas dos caranguejos hospedeiros foram feitas na Ilha do Farol, Matinhos, Estado do Paraná, de novembro de 1989 a abril de 1991. | A study about composition, relative abundance and densities of peracarid populations associated to worm reefs of P. caudata (Kröyer, 1856) from Caiobá Beach, Matinhos, State of Paraná (25º51'S and 48º 32'W) was carried out. Monthly samples were obtained from August/1997 to July/1998. The density was calculated as the number of individuais per liter of worm reef. Three amphipod and three isopod species were obtained. | Relative growth of the male major chela and female abdome was studied in a population of the fiddler crab Uca leptodactyla Rathbun, 1898 from Itapoá, Santa Catarina coast, southern Brazil. Major chela length (CMQ) was measured from 191 males, and abdomen width (LAB) from 128 females. Carapace width (LC) was the reference dimension for both sexes, which ranged from 3.9 to 11.5 mm for males, and from 3.15 to 10.65 mm for females. Males grew bigger than females. Relationship between CMQ and LC showed a transition point at 8.35 mm LC in males, and between LA and LC at 7.10 mm LC in females. | Studies on the growth of the blue crab C. danae were carried out by the analysis of size-frequency distributions, and the growth curves were determined for both sexes through Bertalanffy equation. 613 males and 511 females were obtained from 10 collecting sites of the lagoon, at night, monthly from January/88 to July/89. The growth curves in carapace width were described according to the following equations: Wid∞ = 14.0 (1-e-0,6975.t) for males and Wid∞ = 13.3 (1-e-0,6555.t) for females. The growth curves in body weigth were also determined, based on the equations of the growth curves and the relationship between body weight and carapace width. | Association Crepidula aculeata - Amphiroa beauvoisii. Population study of Crepidula aculeata Gmelin, 1791) (Gastropoda Calyptraeidae) and analysis of protocooperative association between the mollusc and the alga were carried out in the phytal of calcareous alga Amphiroa beauvoisii Lamouroux, 1816 at Ilha das Palmas, Santos Bay (24º00'S - 46º19'W). Samples were collected at three sites of different degree of water movement in the intertidal zone and sublittoral fringe during 1975 and 1976. From 93,916 organisms belonging to 172 species, 5,331 were Crepidula, the most abundant among sessile species. | Annual fluetuation of densities and population strueture of Armases angustipes (Dana, 1852) from a rocky shore at Farol Island, Matinhos, Paraná, Brazil (25º51'S and 48º32'W) were studied. The population strueture was treated in the following aspects: sexual proportion, dial intensity of activities, size composition and its fluetuation, and general condition of the crabs.
