A produção de mudas de qualidade é um dos fatores que determinam o bom desempenho das plantas em campo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de doses de biofertilizante aplicado ao substrato na emergência e no desenvolvimento inicial de plântulas de cupuaçu. O experimento foi conduzido na casa de vegetação da Faculdade da Amazônia, no município de Vilhena – RO. O biofertilizante utilizado foi o Novo Supermagro, diluído em água em solução a 30% da qual se retirou as dosagens de 0, 10, 20, 30, 40 e 50 mL aplicados diretamente no substrato. The objective of this work was to investigate the effect of substrate, color and size on the germination and vigor of Melanoxylon brauna seeds. It was performed two essays. In the first, the seeds were classified by color (light and dark) and size (small and large). In the second essay, it was investigated the influence of substrates on sand, between sand, above paper, between paper and in paper rolls, type germitest. In both essays, the seeds were maintained in controlled conditions (light and temperature) during 10 days. The percentage of germination and germination speed index (GSI) were calculated. This study aimed to adapt and test the efficiency of electrical conductivity methodology test in quality evaluation of Moringa oleifera Lam seeds. For physiological characterization four seed sets were evaluated by tests of germination, seedlings emergency, speed of emergency index, emergency first count, seedlings length and dry mass and cold test. The electrical conductivity test was carried out at 25 °C for 4, 8, 12, 16 and 24 h of immersion in 75 or 125 mL of distilled water using 25 or 50 seeds. A completely randomized design was used. The best results were obtained when using 50 seeds immersed in 75 mL or 125 mL of distilled water for 4 h.
