Additions to the Staphylinidae fauna of the Netherlands 1 From a total of over 14.000 Staphylinidae, collected in The Netherlands and belonging to the Nationaal Natuurhistorisch Museum at Leiden, the more interesting species were selected for further faunistic study. These species were, according to the last available comprehensive data (Everts, 1922a) either known as rare, non-indigenous or, in one case, as common. This selection was completed by data from other museums, private collections and literature in which way an upto-date review of the occurrence and distribution of these Staphylinidae can be presented.
