| Some parts of an irrigated area in the upper northern region, rice cultivation will be done in both dry and wet seasons. Glutinous rice varieties are still preferable for farmers due to high yield and suitability for people’s cultural consumption. To enhance the growth of rice production, the researchers of Rice Research Center in the region have been conducted the research and development on rice varietals improvement continuously to gain the desirable new varieties.
