Population dynamic of golden apple snails related in rice planting phase at Nakhon Ratchasima provinces was conducted at irrigated rice field in Chok Chai district and rainfed rice field in Phimai district from January 2012 – November 2014. The objective of this research was to determine the dynamics of golden apple snail population, which snails (applied removal sampling method) were randomly sampled consecutively by Quadrat sampling (1x1 m) at two-week interval. The results showed that the highest snails - density at irrigated rice field was in booting stage but at rainfed rice field the highest density was in after harvesting phase and booting stage. Snail density showed slightly correlated with water level in irrigated rice field (rs = 0.501, P =...

Population dynamic of golden apple snails related in rice planting phase at Chiang Rai provinces was conducted at irrigated rice field and rainfed rice field in Pan District from January 2012 – November 2014. The objective of this research is to determine the dynamics of golden apple snail population, which snails (applied removal sampling method) were randomly sampled consecutively by Quadrat sampling (1x1 m) at two-week interval. The results showed that the highest snails - density at irrigated rice field was in after harvesting phase but at rainfed rice field the highest density was in booting stage. Snail density showed slightly correlated with water level in rainfed rice field (rs = 0.517, P = 0.011, n = 23) but there was no correlation observed at...

Efficacy test of pericarps of soapberry (Sapindus emarginatus Wall) to Golden Apple Snail (Pomacea canaliculata Lamarck) was conducted in 2 x 5 meter rice field plots at Prachin Buri Rice Research Center in 2013. RCB design was used in this experiment. Five plots were treated with suspension of pericarps of soapberry at rates 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 kg/rai and compared with other two plots which one treated with suspension of tea seed cake (3 kg/rai ; control 1) and another was untreated (control 2). In each plot contained 30 different sizes of snails. The results showed that in 48 hours after treated with soapberry and tea seed cake, the percentage mortality of snails were more than 50 and significantly to untreated plot In 15 days after treated with soapberry...

Rat population in rice field and damage assessments of rice caused by rats were surveyed at Dong Lakhon, Nakhon Nayok Province. Tracking tiles, active burrows counts and traps success were used to access rat species and population. The results showed that the tracking tiles found highest footprints in pre-harvesting stage were 12.60 % in the dry seasons and 18.40 % in the wet seasons. The active burrows counts found highest number of freshly reopened entrances in pre-harvesting stage were 35.05 % in the dry seasons and 40.79 % in the wet seasons. Trap success, the number of rats caught during the dry season and the wet seasons found highest that in the pre-harvesting stage and the tillering stage were 3.97 % (an average rat population of 11.90...
