The independent variables were selected at 4 levels (13.62,15.16, 16.66 and lg.llo/o wb) for feed moisture contents and at 5levels (0.18,0.38,0.84, 1.01, 1.35 mm.) for parriclc sizc. This study was undertaken to determine the in vitro protein digestibility in feed ingredients (fish meal, soy bean meal, corn and rice bran) in bocurti’s catfish at two sizes; small size with weight 30-40 grm/fish and big size with weight 80-100 grm/fish. This information was conducted to generat data for suitable feed formulation for bocurti’s catfish culture. Protease activity had optimum pH at 8 for stomach in both size of fish. Protease activity extracted from intestine with different pH had optimum pH at 12 and pH 10 for small size and big size of fish, respectively. Comparative study on the economic cost and profit in rearing native pigs was carried out under different feeding patterns for weaned piglet production. Feeding patterns were composed of 1) the use of feed based on rice bran mixed with other raw materials, 2) the use of feed based on rice bran together with food scraps from restaurants, and 3) the use of feed based on rice bran together with food scraps from the farmers’ kitchen. The results indicated that most of them contained high numbers of microorganisms. The total viable counts ranged from log10 CFU/g 4.279 – 7.778. The heaviest contamination was dried chilli.
