Некоторые вопросы экологии полихет - обитателей искусственного рифа прибрежного района Севастополя IBSS Repository

На основании круглогодичного мониторинга обрастания поверхности искусственного рифа - бетонного мола в районе ближнего рейда Севастополя изучены видовой состав и экология полихет. Определено 20 видов 7 семейств из них 10 видов отнесены к числу массовых. Наибольшего количественного развития полихеты достигали летом. На глубине 4 м на участке мола в кутовой части гавани доминировали сестонофаги сем. Serpulidae с преобладанием Spirorbis pusilla.

New applications of hydroacoustic methods for monitoring shallow water aquatic ecosystems: the case of mussel culture grounds ArchiMer

The development of acoustics tools and methods for monitoring anthropized ecosystems represents a new field for the application of acoustics. Monitoring such an environment was not possible with single vertical echo sounders, due to the fact that the artificial structures and the natural targets were not distinguishable. Monitoring data were collected along the French Mediterranean coastline, during five short surveys of mussel culture longline areas. Both the Reson Seabat 6012 multibeam sonar (455 kHz) and the Simrad SR 240 omnidirectional sonar (23.75 kHz) were used for target detection. The laying out of an offshore site in the gulf of Lion has been realized by immersion of concrete structures in 1985. Two complementary studies have been conducted in order to estimate the impact of such artificiel reef. Gillnet fishery surveys have been done in the vicinity of the structures and also on a control site. Moreover the local profcssional fishery has been investigated for two periods of 16 months, one berore and one arter the reef immersion. The results of the gillnet surveys have already been submitted to publication and the present study displays the investigations concerning the local fishery. Artificial reefs have become an important and popular resource enhancement technique by concentrating fishes and by increasing natural production of biological resources. In order to increase the necto-benthic colonization potencial, an artificial reef was installed on the northern coast of Rio de Janeiro (21º27'S, 41ºOO'W), an area with typically low relief bottom. Characterization of phytoplankton biodiversity in tropical shipwrecks off the coast of Pernambuco, Brazil Acta Botanica

The phytoplankton community was studied around two artificial reefs (shipwrecks Servemar-X and Servemar-I), located off the coast of Pernambuco, northeastern Brazil, aiming to identify and thus, better describe these environments. Water samples were collected with Nansen bottle at three depths (surface, mid-column and bottom) for chlorophyll a analysis and salinity; temperature and water transparency were also measured. To collect phytoplankton samples, a diver using SCUBA equipment carried out phytoplankton hauls with a 20 µm net around the shipwrecks, about 1.5 m from the bottom for approximatly 3 minutes.
