The objective of this study was to collect, identify and carry out a faunistic characterization of Geometridae family in Cotriguaçu county, Mato Grosso State, Brazil in different forest fragments. The sampled sites were: Tectona grandis plantation; mixed stand formed by Ficus spp., Astronium sp., Copaia Jacaranda, Syzygium jambolanum and Aspidosperma sp., initial forest regeneration, riparian forest and native forest. The samples were collected from July 2007 to June 2008. In each site, three light traps were placed at 1.5 m above the soil.
