| 北海道内の子牛市場ならびに枝肉市場で取引された，黒毛和種去勢牛の子牛市場出荷時体重と格付ならびに画像解析形質間の遺伝的関連性を調べることを目的とした．北海道内の子牛市場で取引され格付記録と枝肉横断面画像を持つ黒毛和種去勢牛805頭を分析に用いた．子牛市場時成績として子牛市場出荷時体重，格付形質として枝肉重量，ロース芯面積，ばらの厚さ，皮下脂肪厚，歩留基準値およびBMSナンバー，画像解析形質としてロース芯の脂肪面積割合，全体的な粒子のあらさおよび最大粒子のあらさについて分析を行った．また，過肥の影響をみるために格付形質ならびに画像解析形質の分析には子牛市場出荷時体重を子牛市場出荷時日齢で除した日齢体重 （kg/日） を6つのサブラクス（0.8，0.9，1.0，1.1，1.2および1.3 kg/日）に分類し，母数効果として含め分析を行った．子牛市場出荷時体重の直接および母性遺伝率は，0.15 ± 0.07および0.12 ± 0.07であった．子牛市場出荷時体重と格付形質間の直接遺伝相関は，ロース芯面積，皮下脂肪厚，歩留推定値およびBMSナンバーで負の値が推定された（－0.76～－0.08）．画像解析形質との直接遺伝相関も，すべて負の値が推定された（－0.70～－0.34）．さらに，脂肪交雑において1.0 kg/日付近の日齢体重が最も望ましい値であることが示唆された．子牛市場出荷時体重の改良を行う場合，これら形質との遺伝的関連性について注意が必要である． The purpose of this study was to investigate the genetic relationships between calf market weight with carcass traits and image... |

| 黒毛和種ロース芯内脂肪交雑の配置バランスと，ロース芯内各領域の脂肪交雑や色調に関する画像解析形質の遺伝的パラメータを推定し，またその遺伝的趨勢を調査することを目的とした．北海道内の枝肉市場に上場された黒毛和種4,598頭（去勢3,485頭，雌1,113頭）を分析に用いた．ロース芯画像を慣性主軸の第1軸および第2軸で4つの領域に分割し，ロース芯全体と各領域から脂肪面積割合，あらさ指数，最大あらさ指数，細かさ指数，筋肉平均輝度および脂肪交雑平均輝度を画像解析によって算出した．また，各画像解析形質の領域間の標準偏差を配置バランス指標とした．脂肪面積割合の配置バランス指標は，他の形質のそれよりも高い遺伝率（0.13）を示した．脂肪面積割合の配置バランス指標と，ロース芯全体のあらさ指数および細かさ指数間の遺伝相関はそれぞれ0.38および−0.49であり，脂肪面積割合の配置バランスの改良は，あらい脂肪交雑を減らし，細かい脂肪交雑を増やすことで可能となることが示された．脂肪面積割合の配置バランスに関する遺伝的趨勢は，年々良くなっていることが示されたが，特定の象限のあらさ指数と細かさ指数において，近年望ましくない遺伝的趨勢が認められた． |

| 全国的データを用いて，在群期間の遺伝率および初産泌乳形質，体型形質，および繁殖形質との遺伝相関の推定を行った．データは，社団法人家畜改良事業団に1975年から集積された1993年9月以前に誕生した雌牛の誕生，淘汰，泌乳，および社団法人日本ホルスタイン登録協会で集積された体型と血統記録である．在群期間は誕生から96ヵ月までの打ち切りデータとした．計算機の制約からすべてのデータを用いた遺伝的パラメータの推定は困難であった．そこで，同じ牛群コードをもつ記録が同一サブセットに無作為に分割されるように，遺伝率およびデータ数の限られる体型形質との遺伝相関の推定には10個，データの多い形質の遺伝相関推定には100個のサブセットを作成し，その中の10個のサブセットを用いて，制限最尤法（REML）により分散成分の推定を行った．在群期間の遺伝率は0.07と低い値が推定された．在群期間と初産泌乳形質における遺伝相関の推定値は，0.08から0.16と低いが正の関係が認められた．初産泌乳形質の向上させながら，在群期間に対する改善が可能であると考えられた．体型形質との遺伝的関連では，体の大きい個体を選抜することは負の関係にある在群期間の改良を妨げとなる恐れがあるが，正の比較的大きな遺伝相関がある肢蹄（0.37）や乳器（0.34）などを用いた間接選抜は有効であることが示唆された．在群期間と初産分娩月齢においては小さい負の値が認められ，初産から2産の分娩間隔における遺伝相関の推定値は小さい正の傾向を示したが，2産から3産の分娩間隔は0.15とやや高くなった． |

| The objective of this study was to estimate genetic parameters and to evaluate the effects of inbreeding on productive and reproductive traits of dairy Gyr cattle. Single-trait animal models were used to estimate genetic parameters and solutions for inbreeding coefficients for milk (milk 305-d), fat (fat 305-d), protein (protein 305-d), lactose (lactose 305-d), and total solids (TS 305-d) yield up to 305 days of lactation, days in milk (DIM), age at first calving (AFC) and calving intervals (CI).
