Extreme meteorological events have increased over the last decade and it is widely accepted that it is due to climate change. Some of these extremes like drought or frost episodes largely affect agricultural outputs that could face a serious decline. Therefore, additional efforts on technology and adaptation become crucial to reduce the effect of climate change on agricultural production. The present article aimed at to characterize the pig farmers associated to the Regional Cooperative of Passos’ pig farmers, MG, according to the perception of the information value to the cost-benefit use of Information Technology (IT). This research has mixed the use of qualitative and quantitative collection of data techniques. In a first exploratory phase, semi-structured interviews were accomplished with 4 pig farmers and later 14 closed questionnaires were applied among the pig farmers associated to the cooperative.
