Se determinó el potencial agroecoturístico del agroecosistema Tepexilotla, localidad rural del municipio de Chocamán en el estado de Veracruz, México. Mediante el análisis multidimensional de su capital ambiental, sociocultural, productivo; como recursos endógenos y la valoración turística de los visitantes; como recurso exógeno. Se obtuvo el potencial de Tepexilotla para desarrollar el agroecoturismo, como actividad complementaria para la población, en un entorno de sustentabilidad. Towards Measurement of Farm Sustainability - an Irish case study AgEcon

Sustainability Indicators (economic, environmental and social) are developed here using Irish National Farm Survey (FADN) data over a ten-year period (1996-2006) in an attempt to measure the sustainability of Irish agriculture at the farm-level. The general concept of sustainability is discussed and the development of agricultural sustainability indicators in an Irish context described. Individual indicators are dealt with in turn and the RERC SMILE (microsimulation) model is used to demonstrate how these indicators can be mapped at electoral division level. Quantification of leaf greenness and leaf spectral profile in plant diagnosis using an optical scanner Ciência e Agrotecnologia

Observation of leaf spectral profile (color) enables suitable management measures to be taken for crop production. An optical scanner was used: 1) to obtain an equation to determine the greenness of plant leaves and 2) to examine the power to discriminate among plants grown under different nutritional conditions. Sweet basil seedlings grown on vermiculite were supplemented with one-fifth-strength Hoagland solutions containing 0, 0.2, 1, 5, 20, and 50 mM NH4+. The 5 mM treatment resulted in the greatest leaf and shoot weights, indicating a quadratic growth response pattern to the NH4+ gradient.
