| The Pennsylvanian deposits with carbonate platforms and reef structures from the Cantabrian Mountains are briefly described. The main portion of this paper is dedicated to the discussion of the adaptations of the Productidina from these Pennsylvanian formations of the Cantabrian Mountains to their life on hard substrates, comparing them with similar forms found elsewhere, notably in the Mississippian of northwest Europe and the Permian of Texas. In the systematic part, an indeterminate Plicatiferini is described as well as a new genus, Bruntonoconcha, and the new species Limbifera bruntoni, Parmephrix candemuelensis and Bruntonoconcha celadensis. |
