| Für Landwirte und Gärtner, die unter Bedingungen des Ökologischen Landbaus wirtschaften, gehört der Pflanzenschutz zum qualitäts- und ertragsbestimmenden Wirtschaftsfaktor. Aus diesem Grund wurde 2003/2004 vom Julius Kühn-Institut der Bereich Pflanzenschutz im Internetportal www.oekolandbau.de erarbeitet. In diesem Bereich wurden Themenblöcke entwickelt, in den die bedeutendsten Schaderreger und Nutzorganismen beschrieben wurden. Neben Angaben zum Schadbild und zur Biologie wurden vorbeugende und direkte Maßnahmen zur Regulierung erörtert sowie entsprechende Weblinks zu weiterführenden Themen angeboten. | Organic plant protection can be supported by diagnostic aids for pest organisms. A concept for a user-friendly, scientifically founded diagnostic aid for agriculturally relevant pest organisms is presented, which is based on a flexible filter structure and conclusive images. To provide practical information on biology and regulation options along with the diagnosis, recent scientific results and market availability of regulation options in organic farming are being reviewed. | Im Bereich des Pflanzenschutzes im ökologischen Landbau liegen für den Öko-Anbauer vielfältige Fragestellungen vor, die sich auf verschiedenen Ebenen ergeben. Diese reichen vom praktischen Anbau über Herstellung und Einsatz von zulässigen Mitteln bis hin zur Gesetz- und Regelungsgebung. | Diese Broschüre für den biologischen Anbau von Gemüse und Kartoffeln wurde im Rahmen des Bildungsprojektes „Bionet“, der Bioplattform für Gemüse, gemeinsam von den Projektpartnern: den Beratern der Landwirtschaftskammern, des LFZ Schönbrunn, biohelp, Bio Austria und dem FiBL Österreich erstellt. | Neben einer günstigen Fruchtfolgestellung hat die Auswahl einer geeigneten Art und Höhe an organischer Düngung eine entscheidende Bedeutung im erfolgreichen Kartoffelanbau. Es ist allgemein bekannt, dass Kartoffeln sehr zuträglich sind für eine hohe Versorgung mit organischer Substanz. Wenn in einer Fruchtfolge organische Düngemittel zur Ausbringung anstehen, sollten diese Düngemittel dann vorsorglich zu Kartoffeln verabreicht werden. | Leatherjackets are the larvae of crane flies (Tipula spp.) which are better known as daddy longlegs. The largest populations are found in grassland and populations in infested fields can reach 0.6 million leatherjackets/ha. The threshold population for field crops is 0.25 million/ha. Crops of brassicas, courgettes and roots following grass may suffer most damage. Damage is usually seen in spring with young plants and seedlings the worst affected. | Although consumer demand for organic fruit is strong, it is currently the least developed sector of the UK organic industry, represented by only a small number of commercial growers. One of the main constraints preventing growers becoming more involved in this sector has been the lack of technical information and guidance, resulting in very few growers having the knowhow and confidence to convert. | The EcoOrchard project (2015-18) has produced a handbook on FAB assessment in dialogue with growers and advisors and a technical guideline for FAB orchard management. Orchards are perennial cultures, and, especially in organic fruit production, it is essential to design and manage orchards in a way which favours predators and parasitoids over pests. Increasing plant biodiversity and habitats in such a way that beneficial organisms are favoured is called Functional Agrobiodiversity (FAB).
