Análise cladística da tribo Rhopalophorini Blanchard, 1845 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) Rev. Bras. entomol.
Marques,Marinêz Isaac; Napp,Dilma Solange.
Rhopalophorini is primarily a New World group. Of the 23 known genera, 19 were described from the Neotropical region. A cladistic analysis of the American genera was carried out with 91 morphological characters. The genera Ozodes Audinet-Serville and Lissozodes Bates, recently transferred to Necydalopsini, were included in the analysis in order to investigate their relationships with the Rhopalophorini. The results suggested that their shared similarities with the Rhopalophorini are symplesiomorphies at the level considered in the analysis, so they are maintained in Necydalopsini, and Neozodes Zajciw, indicated as the sister group of Ozodes, is herein transferred to this tribe. In the same way, Elaphopsis Audinet-Serville is transferred to Ibidionini....

Comparative morphological study of the Neotropical Cleomenini genera and their transference to the tribes Rhopalophorini Blanchard and Rhinotragini Thomson (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Cerambycinae) Rev. Bras. entomol.
Mermudes,José Ricardo M.; Napp,Dilma Solange.
In order to investigate the affinities of the hitherto considered Neotropical Cleomenini genera, a detailed morphological comparative study was carried out based on representatives of their type species and other congeneric species. The results, when compared with representatives of Cleomenes Thomson and other non Neotropical Cleomenini genera together with representatives of Rhopalophorini Blanchard and Rhinotragini Thomson, show that: 1) Listroptera Audinet-Serville, 1834, Dihammaphora Chevrolat, 1859, Haenkea Tippmann, 1953, Aguassay Napp & Mermudes, 2001 and Timabiara Napp & Mermudes, 2001 form a very homogeneous group, not related to other Cleomenini, but sharing several synapomorphies with the Rhopalophorini; therefore they are herein...

Revisão das espécies sul-americanas de Rhopalophora (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) Rev. Bras. Zool.
Napp,Dilma Solange.
Rhopalophora Audinet-Serville, 1834 is currently composed of 25 species with a distribution ranging from North to South America. Only nine of them were described from South America and have been recorded exclusively from this continent. The North and Central American species were revised by GIESBERT & CHEMSAK (1993); the South American species, on the other hand, still remain with their descriptions fragmented in different publications that date from 1824 to 1989.The purposes of this work are to redescribe the genus, to gather information on the South American species, to provide updated and standardized descriptions, illustrations, and an identification key, in order to complement that of GIESBERT & CHEMSAK (1993). The following species...
