| The brown planthopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens (Stål), is one of the most serious insect pest of irrigated rice in the central and lower areas of Northern Thailand. In upper North of Thailand, the first and serious outbreak was found during year 2011 and 2012. The misused insecticide over a period of time with extensive and intensive application is causing BPH outbreak. Therefore, the goal of this research was to monitor the insecticide resistance of BPH in the Northern, Thailand.
