Interpretation of the generic names Trichomorellia Stein and Cyacyrtoneura Townsend is clarified by the examination of their type species, when available, and by analysis of the literature. The following new synonymies are proposed: Dasymorellia Malloch, 1923 is a junior synonym of Trichomorellia Stein, 1918; Cyacyrtoneura cyanea Townsend, 1931 is a junior synonym of Pyrellia violacea Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830; and Cyrtoneuropsis Townsend, 1931 (preocc.) and Cyacyrtoneura Townsend, 1931 are junior synonyms of Morellia Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830. Trichomorellia boliviana Townsend, 1931 is designated type species of Trichomorellia. |

Abstract The Neotropical species of Curtonotidae are updated and catalogued. A total of 33 species names are listed, including two fossil taxa and one nomem dubium. Valid and invalid names and synonyms are presented, totaling 45 names. Bibliographic references are given to all listed species, including information about name, author, year of publication, page number, type species and type locality. Lectotype and paralectotypes are designated to Curtonotum punctithorax (Fischer, 1933). Curtonotum simplex Schiner, 1868 stat. rev. is recognized as a valid name. |

In this contribution we update the information about the type material associated to 23 species of Coleoptera Curculionoidea, families Belidae (subfamily Oxycorininae) and Curculionidae (subfamilies Entiminae and Cyclominae), deposited at the Museo de La Plata (MLP). Most species were described by the specialists R. S. Anderson, M. G. del Río, A. A. Lanteri, J. J. Morrone and F. Ocampo during the last twenty years. We also include types corresponding to species described by C. Bruch, K. Heller, E. Hambleton and A. Hustache, not treated in previous contributions. For each species we provide the original and valid names, bibliographic references, categories of types, code-numbers according to the rules of the Entomology Division of the Museo de La Plata, sex... |

This contribution provides information on the type material of 36 species (eight genera) of Meloidae housed at the Museo de La Plata collection, collected in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay. The types herein stated mainly correspond to species described by the Coleopterist Pedro Denier (20 spp), from 1930 to 1940, but also by the specialists Fritz Borchmann (6 spp), Federico G. C. Berg (7 spp) and Antonio Martínez (3 spp). We have examined almost 200 specimens regarded as types, but after the comparison of their label information with the original descriptions of the species, only 70 can be considered as true types (they are holotypes, allotypes, paratypes and syntypes). For each species we give the following information: original... |

In this paper we listed and examined four type specimens of Ceraphronoidea, 94 of Cynipoidea and 198 of "Proctotrupoidea" (Hymenoptera) housed at the Museo de La Plata, Argentina (División Entomología) not included in previous papers. We also provide update information on categories of types, data of collection and hosts for all cases. These types belong to one, 10 and 12 species respectively and the species were described by Martínez (1), Diaz (2), Diaz & Gallardo (3), Gallardo, Diaz & Marchiori (1), Gallardo, Diaz & Uchoa (1), Kerrich & Quinlan (1), Pujade-Villar & Diaz (1), Ros-Farré & Pujade-Villar (1), De Santis & Loiácono (9), Loiácono (2), and Loiácono & Margaría (1). |
