A partir de los a??os 90, la vitivinicultura vivi?? un acelerado proceso de reconversi??n industrial. El modelo de producci??n centrado en la producci??n de vinos comunes destinados al mercado interno, se combin?? con un nuevo modelo de producci??n de vinos finos para al comercio internacional. Como consecuencia de este cambio de modelo se reorganiza el territorio tanto en lo que concierne a su utilizaci??n como a su apropiaci??n. El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el proceso de transformaci??n de la vitivinicultura mendocina a trav??s del an??lisis de la manera en la que se reestructura el territorio. Si bien la recomposici??n del territorio aparece como una consecuencia de la reconversi??n del modelo productivo, es tambi??n un condicionante de su evoluci??n en el tiempo. Es este segundo aspecto el que nos interesa destacar en este art??culo.
Since the 90s, the winemaking process undergoes an accelerated restructuration. The production model focused on the low quality wines for the domestic market is crossed by a new model of production of fine wines destined for international trade. As a result of this new model, the territory was reorganized both as regards their use as its appropriation. The goal of this paper is to study the transformation of Mendoza winemaking industry through analysis the way that the territory was restructured. If changes in the terri??tory are a consequence of the new production model, there are also determinants for their evolution over time. It is precisely this second aspect that we wish to emphasize in this paper.
