Исследование процессов потребления и ассимилияции органических веществ морским ежом Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis (O. F. Muller) 13
Холодов В. И.; Поповичев В. Н..
In the S. droebachiensis ontogenesis the maximum-to-average rations values increase. This permits large animals to shorten the period of transition from the maximum ration to the average one and to keep the latter at a relatively constant level. The variations in the average daily rations are associated with the period of food digestion, therefore the digestion period may be measured without using the labelled food. Studies on the processes of accumulation and assimilation by Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis of the suspendable and soluble substrates of different chemical nature by the method of chamber analysis made it possible to find out significant peculiarities of these processes. Duration of accumulation, mass of chambers accumulating different...

Морфофизиологический анализ слоевищ Fucus vesiculosus L. в онтогенезе 13
Хайлов К. М.; Холодов В. И.; Фирсов Ю. К.; Празукин А. В..
The ontogenetic changes are studied for some main morphological and physiological parameters in the Fucus vesiculosus thallus. Two populations growing under conditions of different water exchange (in the bay protected from surf and on the open coast subjected to the sea surf) were analysed. The data obtained made it possible to find out the peculiarities in formation of the thallus and its carbon exchange with the environment. It is shown that the intensity of water exchange makes an important contribution to formation and functioning of the thallus. The paper discusses interrelation of different morphological and physiological characters in the process of the thallus growth.

Энергетический баланс морского ежа Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis (O. F. Muller), использующего разные формы пищи 13
Холодов В. И..
An extended energy balance of Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis is studied. It is established that divergence in the energy balance observed in the experiment is mainly due to discrepancy in the ration volumes in the experiment and under nature conditions as well as taking no account of organic matter in a soluble form. By the method of the main components it is determined that 99% of total variation in the energy balance is caused by the following: changes in the balance parameters in the process of ontogeny peculiarities of the plastic metabolism, variability in the body mass of the animal at a definite age, physiological peculiarities of Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis (O. F. Muller) maturing. The mathematic modelling of growth established that a...

Питание морского ежа Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis (O. F. Muller) многоклеточными водорослями 13
Холодов В. И..
Feeding (ration and assimilation) of Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis was studied at different age and in a seasonal aspect. Differences are detected in nutrition intensity of impuberal and adult animals depending on season and food type. The differences make it impossible to approximate the relation of the ration volume to the body mass by a power equation but permits applying the polynomial equation. The nutrition intensity depends on the water exchange rate and food type and to a less extent to a body mass. Assimilation of algae varies within the limits of 58-75% and is the same in the animals of different mass. The amount of the available food does not affect its assimilation.
