| ABSTRACT: The distilled grains obtained in the ethanol production process show a great potential for use in monogastric feeding. In Brazil the alcohol production from corn is still a recent activity, therefore, there is no yet a defined market for these products. Pig production is the second largest user of animal food in Brazil and DDGS shows compatible quality for use in the production of this species. Thereby, the present study was developed with the aim of determining the maximum price to be paid for DDGS in different scenarios of prices for corn and soybean meal. | Diante da multiplicidade de formas em que os mercados podem estar organizados, este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar de forma sistematizada diferentes abordagens utilizadas para compreender as dinâmicas e o funcionamento dos mercados agropecuários, reconhecendo as contribuições das distintas escolas, como também algumas de suas fragilidades.
