Pour être en phase avec les recommandations de la communauté européenne, les missions ORHAGO doivent utiliser un chalut à perche pour la constitution des indices d'abondance de sole dans le golfe de Gascogne. Un chalut à perche de 4 m (environ 2000 kg) a été construit et acheté aux Pays-Bas dans l'optique des futures campagnes à la mer. La campagne TECHORHAGO visait à essayer et à mettre au point les différentes manoeuvres de mise à l'eau et de virage du chalut en le remorquant sur les deux treuils du Gwen-Drez. A displacement of the fishing effort of the French pelagic trawlers from anchovy to the seabass fisheries is observed. A such situation on a non-quota managed species requires to analyse carefully the evolution in the status of seabass stocks. The evolution of fishing effort, the production and the landings per unit of effort were studied from 2000 to 2007 for the bottom trawling and for the pair pelagic trawling in the ICES sub-areas VIII and VII. The fishing effort was assessed by using a threshold on the landings by month in order to select the most effective fishing effort as representing 75 % of the effort concerned with seabass landings. The topic of this work is to analyse two sets of fishing statistics, one concerns ships which landed their catches at Sète during the 88-94 period, the other ships which landed their catches in different fish markets of Lion's gulf during the 94-97 period. Cpue are treated by a log-linear model with three qualitative variables which provides fishing powers of ships, abundance index of species in monthly strata and in annual strata. These three factors are revealed to be statistically significant and form the following hierarchy : first fishing power of ships, secondly monthly index and thirdly annual index of abundance of species.
