| A investigação atrás relatada trata da natureza citológica de um mutante somático que se originou num enxêrto de tangerina híbrida (King x Dancy). Do ramo mutante obtiveram-se vários enxertos que foram comparados com outros enxertos procedentes da parte normal da árvore. Os resultados de uma detalhada investigação indicam que os enxertos procedentes de ramo mutado se compõem, no mínimo, de dois tipos de constituição quimérica : um é 2n-4n-4n, respectivamente, para a primeira, segunda e terceira camada geratriz, e outro 2n - 4n-2n, para as mesmas camadas. Admitindo-se a existência de 3 camadas geratrizes em Citrus, demonstrou-se que a primeira camada geratriz forma a epiderme, a segunda todo o tecido das fôlhas (com exceção da epiderme), os micros-porocitos... |

| An upper molar of Anancus arvernensis (Croiz. & Job.), fished out of the Eastern Scheldt, near Ierseke, and belonging to the so-called black fossils, shows more affinity with the specimens from the English Crags than with those from Thüringen. Another upper molar of the species has been dredged out of the Lower-Rhine. A lower molar of Archidiskodon planifrons (Falc. & Caut.) from the same locality as the first-named tooth, and displaying the same kind of fossilization has most probably been washed out of the same deposit.
