Allelopathy of weeds on the growth of vegetables. Repositório Alice
REZENDES, I.; BASEGGIO, E. R.; GALON, L.; BRANDLER, D.; FORTE, C. T.; ASPIAZÚ, I.; FRANCESCHETTI, M. B.; SILVA, A. F. da.
The use of allelopathy emerges as an alternative method for weed management in crops, especially in small vegetable producing properties. Thus, the objective of this work was to identify possible allelopathic effects of aqueous extracts of the weeds Cyperus difformis L. (small-flowered nutsedge), Commelina benghalensis L. (benghal dayflower) and Galinsoga parviflora Cav. (gallant soldier) on seed germination and seedling growth of Lactuca sativa L. (lettuce) and Lycopersicum esculentum L. (tomato). Two experiments were carried out in a completely randomized design with five replications, the first with lettuce seeds and the second with tomato seeds submitted to germination in five concentrations of weeds aqueous extracts (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%). All...

Morphophysiological responses of wheat cultivars in competition with diploid and tetraploid ryegrass. Repositório Alice
BALDESSARINI, R.; GALON, L; VARGAS, L.; MÜLLER, C.; BRANDLER, D.; SILVA, J. D. G. DA; FORTE, C. T.; FRANCESCHETTI, M. B.; TIRONI, S. P.; PERIN, GISMAEL FRANCISCO.
Wheat crop growth and development can be affected by weed infestation, especially ryegrass. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the competitive ability of wheat cultivars wit h the diploid and tetraploid ryegrass biotypes. Greenhouse experiments were conducted in a completely randomized design with four replications. BRS Parrudo and TBIO Sinuelo wheat cultivars and the competitors ryegrass diploid and tetraploid were used. The population of each species was defined and then the replacement series experiments were carried out, containing the following proportions of wheat and ryegrass plants: 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75; and 0:100%, equivalent to 32:0; 24:8; 16:16; 8:24; and 0:32 plants per pot. Fifty days after species emergence, physiological...

Selectivity of saflufenacil applied alone or mixed to glyphosate in maize. Repositório Alice
GALON, L.; WEIRICH, S. N.; FRANCESCHETTI, M. B.; ASPIAZU, I.; SILVA, A. F. da; FORTE, C. T.; ROSSETTO, E. R. de O.; BRANDLER, D.; PERIN, G. F.; ULKOVSKI, C..
The use of selective herbicides is important for weed management in agricultural crops. Selectivity studies of new molecules are really important to expand the control options of glyphosate-resistant and -tolerant eudicotyledons in corn. The objective of this work was to evaluate the selectivity of the herbicide saflufenacil applied alone in different doses in post-emergence of corn and in a mixture with glyphosate. The design used was randomized blocks, with four replications, with treatments consisting of five doses of saflufenacil, applied alone and in a mixture with a fixed dose of glyphosate, in addition to the weeded control and only glyphosate. At 7, 14, 21 and 28 days after application (DAT), the phytotoxicity of the herbicides to the crop was...
