Study of Leaf Area as Functions of Age and Temperature in Rice ( Oryza sativa L. ) Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]Correlations between the measured and the estimated leaf areas of rice plants as functions of age and temperature were studied. The results showed that as the plant advances area can be estimated from leaf dimensions in a controlled-environment. When temperature treatment is imposed, causes that alter leaf length/width ratio may change the measured values. Different sets of regression analysis, therefore, may be needed for leaf area estimation when temperature stress occurs.

不同山藥 (Dioscorea alate L.) 品系塊莖之貯藏研究 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]利用網袋在14°C裹恒溫貯藏山藥之塊莖,山藥台農1號及巴西品系二種白肉山藥塊莖在第14~23週萌芽,明顯較17°C恒溫貯放者延後5~6週,其貯藏壽命雖可達34週,但塊莖肉部之腐爛率高達33%,損失頗大:紅肉山藥埔里地方品系(70R─01)貯放於14°C下雖不萌芽,但至27週即有寒害發生。於17°C恒溫貯藏時二種白肉山藥塊莖至25週時薯塊仍完整良好,70R─01於17°C下雖在11至18週期間萌芽,但萌芽率僅10%,且可繼續貯藏至26週。而室溫貯藏下三種山藥塊莖皆在第4~9週萌芽,至13週芽條長度在15cm以上,已失去經濟商品利用價值,貯藏壽命結束。故參試山藥三品(種)系較適宜之安全貯藏溫度應為17°C (RH60~70%) 貯藏期間塊莖之失重率以恒溫14°C或17°C較室溫貯藏為小,其中17°C下山藥台農1號及巴西二品(種)系經25週貯藏之失重率分別為26.6%及27.5%,而70R─01由於表皮較薄,失重率高達37.1%。 利用17°C環境及網袋貯存山藥塊莖,可顯著延後山藥塊莖之開始萌芽期及全部萌芽期,又可抑制萌芽數目及芽之繼續生長,確有延長貯藏壽命之效果。 於17°C貯存26週後,山藥台農1號塊莖之含水率及澱粉含量分別明顯下降達12.25%及4.07%巴西品系塊莖之含水率及粗蛋白含量則明顯高於山藥台農1號;此外,二種白肉山藥塊莖之粘度值於17°C貯放26週後均明顯較山藥台農1號之新鮮塊莖為高,且塊莖肉質之純白度亦未稍減。 The effect of temperature on the tuber storage life and quality of three Yam lines was investigated. 文心蘭之健康管理 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]文心蘭(Oncidium spp.)屬於蘭科,文心蘭屬。其原生於熱帶美洲的墨西哥、 巴西、玻利維亞一帶的複莖地生蘭或著生蘭,屬C3 型作物,其原種大約在七百 種以上,大部份原產於熱帶美洲,主要分布在美國佛羅里達州、墨西哥、巴拉圭、 祕魯、巴西、阿根廷等國,由平地到海拔2000 公尺以上的冷涼高地都有其蹤跡, 各原種之生態習性變化很大。目前本省經濟生產的文心蘭,不論是切花或盆花, 大都是經過雜交育種選拔出來的品種。國內於民國六十五年自泰國引進切花品種 南西(Onc. Gower Ramsey)。其表現在台灣深受栽培者肯定,且民國八十年代切花 輸出日本後,年年劇增。因此栽培面積自現今已達300 公頃以上。2007 年種植 面積已超過200 公頃輸日量達2064 萬枝占日本文心蘭輸入量87.6%。以單一品 種,單一花色,單一市場之出口量,已是花卉產業的奇蹟。然而生產量雖具有舉 足輕重之影響力,但因為產量集中於5~6 及9~ 10 月,造成輸入量過多而價格崩 盤。且因目前栽培是以水平黑網之栽培模式,夏季受自然氣候影響甚大消費者反 應部分產品瓶插壽命較短。因此建立文心蘭健康栽培模式是當前相當重要的課 題。 Oncidium orchid, Oncidium spp., the genus Oncidium of the orchid family (Orchidaceae), are the native species of tropical America Mexico, Brazil and Bolivia .Most species in this genus are epiphytes or terrestrials with a sympodial growth habit...
