Acidos graso de Prochilodus lineatus (Val.) (Pisces, Curimatidae) IRD

Les acides gras des dépots graisseux du mésenlère de #Prochilodus lineatus$ ont été analysés pour saisons (été et hiver). Les poissons étudiés ont été capturés dans le cours principal du Parana moyen (Argentine). Les acides les plus importants sont l'acide oléique (18:1) avec 27,15%, l'acide palmitique (16:6) avec 23,99% et l'acide palmitoleique (16:1) avec 13,90%. Ces acides sont plus abondants en hiver. Les acides supérieurs (en carbone et en insaturation) sont moins abondants en hiver (16,47%) qu'en été (24,29%). La composition du plancton et des sédiments superficiels semblent indiquer que cette espèce de poisson synthétise ses acides gras par métabolisme des carbohydrates. (Résumé d'auteur)

Les juvéniles pêchés dans des petites mares de la plaine alluviale du Parana moyen (31° 45' S-60° 45' W) ont été séparés en deux classes de taille : 27-38 mm et 75-94 mm. Les poissons de taille inférieure à 38 mm contiennent 37,4 % d'acides de nombre de carbone et d'insaturation supérieurs à l'acide oléique. Cette composition correspond au régime alimentaire planctonique et à la morphologie du système intestinal. (Résumé d'auteur)

Effect of skin contact on the free and bound aroma compounds of the white wine of Vitis vinifera L. cv. Narince Inra

Free and glycosidically bound aroma compounds of the Narince wines and the effect of skin contact treatment (15 degrees C, 12h) on aroma composition have been investigated during two vintages. Free and bound aroma compounds were extracted with dichloromethane and Amberlite XAD-2 resin, respectively, and then analysed by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS). According to the results obtained in both vintages, Narince wines were characterized by the presence of high level of fermentative aroma compounds (higher alcohols, fatty acids, and esters, respectively), and skin contact treatment increased the total concentration of free and bound volatiles.

Fat content and essential fatty acid (EFA) composition of Congolese mature breast milk are influenced by mothers' nutritional status : poster IRD

Breast milk samples of Congolese women (n = 102) nursing 5 mo-old infants and living in Talangaï, a suburban district of Brazzaville, were collected and analyzed for their fat content and fatty acid (FA) composition. Mothers were questioned on their dietary habits. Compared with breast milk from various developed or developing countries ; Congolese mature breast milk was low in fat (28.70 plus or minus 11.33 g/L) but rich in 8:0-14:0 FAs (25.97 plus or minus 8.17% of total FAs) and in polyunsaturated FAs (PUFAs), particularly in n-3 PUFAs (2.39 plus or minus 0.68% of total FAs, mainly 18:3 and 22:6). The purpose of the present study was to map quantitative trait locus (QTLs) associated with percentage of seed protein, oil and fatty acids content under different conditions in a population of recombinant inbred lines (RILs) of sunflower. Three independent field experiments were conducted with well-, partial-irrigated and late-sowing conditions in randomized complete block design with three replications. High significant variation among genotypes is observed for the studied traits in all conditions. Several specific and non-specific QTLs for the aforementioned traits were detected.
