Effect of Dietary Lysine Regimens on Growth Performance and Meat Composition in Aseel Chicken Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Avic.
Hussain,M; Mahmud,A; Hussain,J; Qaisrani,SN.
ABSTRACT A study was designed with the objective, to evaluate the effect of dietary lysine (Lys) regimens on growth performance and meat composition of Aseel chicken. In total, 540 day old chicks, 180 from each variety, were randomly assigned to 9 experimental groups in a 3 (Varieties: Mianwali (MW), Peshawari (PW), and Lakha (LK)) × 3 (Lys regimens: L1, L2 and L3:1.35, 1.30 and 1.25%) factorial arrangement under randomized complete block design (RCBD) with sex as block. Each experimental group was replicated 6 times with 10 birds in each with average weight of 29 gram. Feed intake (FI), weight gain (WG) and feed:gain ratio (F:G) parameters of growth performance and Dry Matter (DM), Ash, Crude Protein (CP) and Ether Extract (EE) parameters of meat...

Effect of Different Dietary Threonine Levels on Optimal Growth Performance and Intestinal Morphology in 1-14 Days Old Ross 308 Broilers Rev. Bras. Ciênc. Avic.
Najafi,R; Ahmar,R; Tazehkand,GN.
SUMMARY This experiment was carried out to evaluate the effects of four levels of dietary threonine (Thr) supplementations on growth performance, gut size and histomorphometric alterations of small intestines in broiler chicks in 1-14 days. Two hundred eighty-eight Ross 308 one-day-old male broiler chicks were randomly assigned to four treatments with six replicates (12 birds per replication) received a common diet based on corn, wheat and soybean meal that met nutrients requirement of Ross 308. Birds were fed dietary treatments consisting of four levels of standardized digestible (SD) Thr: control diets (Basal diets) containing 0.65% SD Thr, 0.89% SD Thr (nutrients requirement of Ross 308), 0.93% and 0.97% SD Thr. Body weight gain (BWG), feed intake (FI)...

Gross chemical profile and calculation of nitrogen-to-protein conversion factors for five tropical seaweeds. Repositório Alice
DINIZ, G. S.; BARBARINO, E.; OIANO NETO, J.; PACHECO, S.; LOURENÇO, S. O..
Despite decades of research on marine algae, there are still significant gaps in basic knowledge about chemical com-position of these organisms, especially in tropical environments. In this study, the amino acid composition and contents of total nitrogen, phosphorus, lipid, carbohydrate and protein were determined in Asparagopsis taxiformis, Centroceras clavulatum, Chaetomorpha aerea, Sargassum filipendula and Spyridia hypnoides. The seaweeds showed low lipid con-tents (lower than 5.5% d.w. in all species) and were rich in carbohydrates (more than 16% d.w. in all seaweeds). The percentage of nitrogen, phosphorus and protein varied widely among species, which red algae showed the highest con-centrations. The amino acid composition was similar among the...

Gross chemical profile and calculation of nitrogen-to-protein conversion factors for nine species of fishes coastal water of Brazil. Repositório Alice
DINIZ, G. S.; BARBARINO, E.; OIANO NETO, J.; PACHECO, S.; LOURENÇO, S. O..
The amino acid composition and contents of nitrogen, phosphorus, lipid, carbohydrate and protein were determined in muscles of Dactylopterus volitans, Genypterus brasiliensis, Mullus argentinae,Paralichthys patagonicus, Percophis brasiliensis, Pinguipes brasilianus, Rhizoprionodon lalandii, Rhizoprionodon porosus, and Urophycis cirrata. The samples showed low carbohydrate content (<3.5% dry weight in all species) and were rich in protein (>66% dry weight in all species). The percentage of total lipid varied widely among species, and M. argentinae showed the highest concentrations (16%). The percentage of nitrogen and phosphorus was high and similar among species , with overall average values of 13.3% and 1.2%, respectively. The amino acids...
