In 2015 and 2016, the occurrence of the tribe Chelonini (Braconidae, Cheloninae) in the province of Hamadan (western Iran) was surveyed using malaise traps. In total, 12 species were discovered. Chelonus (C.) olgae Kokujev, 1895 is new to the fauna of Iran and one species, Chelonus (Microchelonus) subpamiricus Farahani & van Achterberg sp. nov., is new to science. The diagnostic characters and supplementary illustrations of the newly recorded species are provided. Two new species of the genus Foenomorpha Szépligeti, 1904, are described (F. rufa spec. nov. from Brazil and F. senlura spec. nov. from French Guiana). A key to the known species is added and notes on the other two species are added. Foenomorpha filicornis (Cameron, 1887) is a new combination for Cenocoelius filicornis Cameron. An aberrant group of Chelonus with very slender antennal segments and a protuberant scutellum from French Guiana and Suriname is described and included in the new subgenus Baculonus (type species: C. pachytellus spec. nov.). Epsilogaster palenque Whitfield & Mason, 1994, is reported for the first time from Costa Rica. Two species of Braconidae (Chelonus kermakiae (Tobias, 2001) (Cheloninae) and Centistidea pistaciella spec. nov. (Miracinae)) have been reared from the pistachio twig borer moth (Kermania pistaciella Amsel) (Tineidae). Both species are described and illustrated; Centistidea pistaciella spec. nov. is included in a new subgenus (Paracentistidea subgen. nov. with C. pistaciella spec. nov. as type species) and a key to the Palaearctic and North Oriental species of the genus Centistidea Rohwer is added. Three new species are described: Macrocentrus sesamivorus spec. nov. from Kenya, Somalia, and Zaïre (Macrocentrinae), Iphiaulax pilisoma spec. nov. from Senegal, and Amyosoma flavistigma spec. nov. from Australia (Braconinae).
