Application of Post-Emergence ALS Inhibitor Herbicides Associated or Not to Glyphosate in RR/STS Soybean Planta Daninha
SILVA,A.F.M.; ALBRECHT,A.J.P.; ALBRECHT,L.P.; VICTORIA FILHO,R.; GIOVANELLI,B.F..
ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to evaluate the selectivity of ALS inhibitor herbicides, applied isolated and associated with glyphosate in post-emergence of soybean cultivar presenting the RR/STS technologies. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications and ten treatments. The treatments consisted of the application of glyphosate and ALS inhibitors herbicides, isolated and associated with glyphosate. The application of treatments occurred in V4 stage of plant development. The evaluation of phytointoxication, SPAD index was conducted, as well as variables related to agronomic performance (height, number of pods per plant, yield and mass of a thousand seeds). Yet additional test with the same cultivar and treatment was conducted...

Cover crops and herbicide timing management on soybean yield under no-tillage system PAB
Nascente,Adriano Stephan; Crusciol,Carlos Alexandre Costa.
The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of cover crops and timing of pre-emergence herbicide applications on soybean yield under no-tillage system. The experiment consisted of four cover crops (Panicum maximum, Urochloa ruziziensis, U. brizantha, and pearl millet) and fallow, in addition to four herbicide timings (30, 20, 10, and 0 days before soybean sowing), under no-tillage system (NTS), and of two control treatments under conventional tillage system (CTS). The experimental design was a completely randomized block, in a split-plot arrangement, with three replicates. Soybean under fallow, P. maximum, U. ruziziensis, U. brizantha, and pearl millet in the NTS and soybean under U. brizantha in the CTS did not differ significantly regarding...

Effectiveness of Diquat, Copper Hydroxide, Copper Oxychloride and their Association in Control of Submerged Macrophytes Ceratophyllum demersum Planta Daninha
GARLICH,N.; CRUZ,C.; SILVA,A.F.; MALASPINA,I.C.; FERREIRA,R.G.; TEDESQUE,M.G.; PITELLI,R.A.; BIANCO,S..
The aims of this study were to evaluate the effectiveness of diquat, copper hydroxide, copper oxychloride and their associations diquat + 0.1% copper oxychloride and diquat + 0.1% copper hydroxide to control Cerathophyllum demersum. Therefore, the concentrations used were 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1.0 and 1.5 mg L-1 oxychloride and copper hydroxide and 0.2, 0.4, 0.8 and 1.2 mg L-1 diquat and their associations with 0.1% copper oxychloride and 0.1% copper and a control hydroxide. The experimental design was completely randomized with ten replications for 45 days. For evaluation we used a scale of 0-100% control of notes and rated the weight (g) and length (cm) of pointers at the end of the trial period. Diquat showed 100% efficacy at 30 DAA, associations in 21...

GENETIC VARIABILITY OF Rottboellia cochinchinensis POPULATIONS IN SUGARCANE FIELDS Planta Daninha
SCHIAVETTO,A.R.; PERECIN,D.; PINTO,L.R.; AZANIA,C.A.M.; ZERA,F.S.; MELLONI,M.N.G..
ABSTRACT The hypothesis assumed was the existence of biotypes within populations, which has been the cause of difficulties in itchgrass control by farmers. For that, the genetic variability of three populations of Rottboellia cochinchinensis in sugarcane fields in the state of São Paulo was investigated by using the Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLP) technique. Six primers were used to obtain molecular characterization data. AFLP gels were analyzed based on marker presence (1) and absence (0). Using NTSYs (Numerical Taxonomy and Multivariate Analysis System) software, the genetic similarity was calculated by the Jaccard coefficient and, from that, a dendrogram was built through the UPGMA (Unweighted Pair Group Method Arithmetic averages) method,...

Herbicides for Rooted Aquatic Macrophytes Planta Daninha
CERVEIRA JR.,W.R.; SILVA,A.F.; CRUZ,C.; PITELLI,R.A.; MARTINS,D..
ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of glyphosate, 2,4-D, and diquat to control the aquatic macrophytes Brachiaria subquadripara, Hedychium coronarium, and Myriophyllum aquaticum under greenhouse conditions. The following herbicides and doses were used: glyphosate at 240, 720, 1,680, 2,640, 3,600, and 4,320 g a.e. ha-1, 2,4-D at 335, 1,005, 1,675, 2,345, and 3,015 g a.e. ha-1, diquat at 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600 g a.i. ha-1, and a control with 10 replications. Sprayings were applied with a CO2-pressurized backpack sprayer at a constant pressure of 172.36 KPa, tips DG 11002, and spray solution consumption of 200 L ha-1. The effectiveness of control was evaluated visually at 3, 7, 15, 21, 30, 45, and 60 days after...

The addition of adjuvants on glyphosate enhances the control of aquatic plant Myriophyllum aquaticum (Vell.) Planta Daninha
R. Cerveira Jr.,Wilson; F. Silva,Adilson; H.C. Cervoni,João; Cruz,Claudinei; A. Pitelli,Robinson.
Abstract Background: Knowledge about the action of glyphosate alone and associated with adjuvants in the effectiveness to control aquatic plants is important in the decision-making on its use. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of glyphosate and five adjuvants in the control of Myriophyllum aquaticum. Methods: Glyphosate (Rodeo®) at doses of 1.5, 3.5, 5.5, and 7.5 L ha-1 was sprayed alone and associated with Aterbane® BR, Veget’oil®, Dash® HC, Assist®, and Agral® (0.5% v v-1), in addition to the control, with a spray solution volume of 200 L ha-1. The effectiveness of control was evaluated using the scores of a visual scale at 3, 7, 15, 21, 30, 45, and 60 days after application (DAA), regrowth, and dry matter accumulation at 60...
