An interactive webgis platform for enhanced support of integrated environmental management of aquaculture Repositório Alice

Abstract: This study aimed to show a system integrated environmental management of aquaculture for the public authorities and general public to monitor water quality and the land use in hydroelectric reservoir. Water quality monitoring that use standard operating procedures for sample collection and analysis, an interactive and flexible application module and WebGis platform was investigated in tilapia cage farms in Ilha Solteira Reservoir. The preliminary results indicated that in most case fish farm sites reflected water quality of its respective rivers, and the current developing system, can help organizations and government policies in managing and analyzing relevant data to make decisions that regulate the assignment of public waters to aquaculture.

Development of geoprocessing applications for the Pantanal using automated compositions of web services. Repositório Alice

This paper presents an approach to develop geo-processing applications for the Pantanal region using automated compositions of geographic Web Services. The procedure for the automatic construction of these compositions is based on rules of geo-data quality requirements which indicate the conditions for geo-data use by a geo-processing functionality. These rules can be defined to describe geospatial characteristics to select suitable geo-processing services for use in the Pantanal region. Therefore this approach produces more robust and reliable service compositions, generating better quality geo-data when compared with other composition approaches.
