| Nove fêmeas de quinto parto (OP5) foram imunizadas com 4mg e 2mg de albumina sérica bovina (BSA) aos 70 e 100 dias de gestação, respectivamente. A uniformização da leitegada foi realizada 4,9±1,9h após o nascimento, antes de os leitões efetuarem a primeira mamada. As leitegadas foram compostas por cinco leitões biológicos (LB) e cinco leitões adotados (LA), com pesos semelhantes ao nascimento. Foram coletadas amostras de sangue dos leitões ao nascimento e 24h após, das fêmeas ao pós-parto e de colostro de cada grupo de tetos ao parto e 24h após. | O objetivo foi avaliar os efeitos da amamentação parcelada nas primeiras seis horas após o nascimento, sobre o peso ao desmame, aos 60 dias de idade e a dosagem de imunoglobulinas G séricas em leitões de porcas de diversas ordens de parto. Trinta e três fêmeas suínas foram usadas em delineamento inteiramente casualizado e em esquema fatorial 2 × 3, composto de dois manejos de leitões pós-nascimento e três agrupamentos por ordem de parto. | 1日齢における血中免疫グロブリンG（IgG）濃度が基準値未満の場合に受動免疫移行不全（FPT）と診断されるが，子牛が肥育牧場や育成牧場に導入される1週齢前後のFPT基準値は報告されていない. 本研究は, 血清IgGおよび総タンパク質（TP）濃度の経時的変化を調べ, 7日齢の検査値を用いたFPT診断精度について検証した. ホルスタイン種（HS）43頭, 黒毛和種（JB）34頭を用いた. 1日齢と7日齢に採血を行い, 血清IgG（mg/mℓ）およびTP濃度（g/dℓ）を測定した. 1日齢と7日齢において, IgGとTPの間に強い正の相関関係が認められた. 1日齢のIgGとTPの散布図において, 近似曲線の一次方程式にFPT基準値（HS-IgG: 10.0, JB-IgG: 20.0）を代入して求めたTP濃度（HS-TP: 4.6, JB-TP: 5.3）を1日齢のFPT基準値とした. HS-IgG, HS-TPおよびJB-IgGは, 1日齢〜7日齢にかけて有意に減少した. 1日齢〜7日齢の平均変化率は, HS-IgG: 71.7%, HS-TP: 92.2%, JB-IgG: 73.8%, JB-TP: 95.4%であった. 1日齢のFPT基準値に平均変化率を乗じて7日齢のFPT基準値とした（HS-IgG: 7.2, HS-TP: 4.2, JB-IgG: 14.8, JB-TP: 5.1）. 7日齢の血液検査において, FPT基準値未満であった場合を検査陽性とし, FPTの診断精度について検証した. | Dez novilhas mestiças, distribuídas em dois grupos experimentais (n=5) receberam na altura média da face cranial do membro anterior direito, entre as articulações umerorradioulnar e do carpo, por via intramuscular superficial, 0,15mg/kg de veneno de Bothrops alternatus bruto ou iodado. Todos os animais foram avaliados clinicamente antes - tempo zero - e às 6 e 10h, no 2º, 3º, 4º, 5º, 8º, 11º, 18º e 25º dias após a inoculação dos venenos. | ABSTRACT The objective of the present study was to assess the effect of dietary supplementation of Omega-3 plus on some the physiological and biochemical traits in growing Baladi goats under hot summer conditions. Thirty-four growing male goats (4-5 months old) were randomly divided into two equal groups. Animals in group 1 were fed a concentrate feed mixture (CFM), which was the control group. | No presente trabalho, descrevem-se os resultados da detecção de anticorpos anti-T. gondii (IgG e IgM) em amostras seqüenciais de soro de cordeiros recém-nascidos e de suas mães, sem aparentes sinais clínicos da infecção. Os anticorpos IgG foram quantificados pelos testes de imunofluorescência indireta (IFI) e hemaglutinação indireta (HAI). Os anticorpos IgM foram detectados pelo método de hemaglutinação indireta 2-mercaptoetanol (HAI/ 2-ME), utilizando "kits" comerciais. Foram considerados reagentes títulos maiores ou iguais a 16, na hemaglutinação, e 20 na imunofluorescência. | ABSTRACT The study was conducted to determine the effects of stocking density (SD, 5 or 7 layers/cage) and tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus L.) diet supplementation at four levels (0, 1.2, 6 and 12 g/kg feed) on performance, certain egg characteristics, serum, liver, egg yolk and small intestine bacteria parameters in laying hens. The experiment was carried out over a period of 8 weeks, with 192 Lohman Brown commercial hybrids at 50-w-age. The results showed that an increased SD reduced feed intake (FI; p<0.01) and egg production (p<0.05), but had no effect on the weight gain, feed conversion ratio, damaged egg ratio, egg weight and egg quality (p>0.05) parameters. | A combination of antigenic regions of microneme proteins have been previously reported as being protective against chronic toxoplasmosis. In this work, we evaluated immune responses induced by immunizing BALB/c and C57BL/6 mice intradermally with plasmid DNA encoding the protein sequences of Toxoplasma gondii AMA1, MIC2, M2AP and BAG1. Mice immunized with the AMA1 gene developed high levels of serum IgG2a and c antibodies as well as cellular immune responses associated with IFN-γ synthesis suggesting a modulated Th1 type of response.
