One new Xanthomicrogaster species from Brazil is described, and X. fortipes Cameron, 1911, is redescribed and reported from Brazil and Suriname for the first time. A key to the species is presented as well as data about the geographical distribution in Brazil. The new species is reported to be a parasitoid of larvae of terrestrial Trichoptera (Limnophilidae), which is the first report of this order as host of Braconidae.
