| This study aimed to report three cases of contagious agalactia (CA) by Mycoplasma agalactiae in goat kids born with polyarthritis. The nanny goats belonging to two different herds presented clinical signs of CA during pregnancy and in parturition they were apparently healthy. The carpal articulations of the three goat kids, the tarsus articulation in one, and thigh-femoral articulation in another showed swelling, pain and impairment of the flexion-extension movements. The articular liquid was collected from two goat kids at birth and revealed a content which varied from transparent to fibrinopurulent, presenting a yellow coloring. | As poliartrites imunomediadas em cães são difíceis de serem diagnosticas e tratadas, assim como o lúpus eritematoso sistêmico (LES) e a artrite reumatoide (AR). Nos casos de AR, as articulações do carpo são as mais acometidas, tendo como outros sinais clínicos rigidez, fadiga muscular, perda de peso e hipertermia. Radiograficamente, os animais apresentam em suas articulações acometidas lise e erosão de cartilagem e osso subcondral. O LES é uma doença de caráter imunomediado e também pode acometer diversos sistemas. Os sinais clínicos mais comuns são lesões cutâneas, poliartrite imunomediada, anorexia, fraqueza, glomerulonefrite, cardiopatias, hepatopatias, dentre outras.
