| Resumo: A hidrossalpinge é um distúrbio que acomete a tuba uterina de várias espécies e se caracteriza pelo acúmulo de líquido seromucoso na cavidade do órgão. A presença de hidrossalpinge pode comprometer parcial ou completamente a fertilidade da fêmea dependendo da sua ocorrência uni ou bilateral, respectivamente. Geralmente identificada post-mortem, esta condição patológica é pouco diagnosticada in vivo, principalmente em animais cuja palpação retal não pode ser realizada. Aparentemente saudáveis, as cabras com hidrossalpinge podem apresentar como sinal da enfermidade, retornos sucessivos ao cio (estro). Não obstante, algumas permanecem improdutivas no rebanho até dois anos de idade ou mais. Este fato demonstra a necessidade de avaliações... |

| ABSTRACT: Reproductive efficiency is one of the key elements for any milk production system to be successful. In this regard, reproductive management must be planned properly and the identification of the main reproductive disorders that affect the herd is primordial for decision-making. The aim of the present study was to identify the main reproductive problems that affect dairy herds on Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Brazil. Data regarding breed, age, reproductive disorder occurrence, and breeding system were individually collected from dairy cows raised at 25 farms located at RJ.
