| En complément des travaux réalisés dans le cadre du contrat INVABIO par le LBEM de La Rochelle pour parvenir à une caractérisation génétique de l'espèce Ocinebrellus inornatus, (Garcia-Meunier, 2002). | This paper reports a comparative study of two cupped oysters, Crassostrea gigas and C angulata, and their hybrids reared in the Marennes-Oleron Sound (France) under usual farming conditions. The relative proficiency of these species was characterized in terms of growth, survival and reproduction, three major concerns for oyster farming. Four populations of each taxon were sampled (C gigas: Japan and France; C angulata: Taiwan and Spain) and used as progenitors to produce six different progenies under common hatchery and nursery conditions (transfer of 5 to 6 g of seed oysters at sea and rearing in bags for 2 years). | L’ostréiculture constitue la principale activité aquacole française. Cette activité de quasi-monoculture, basé sur l’élevage de l’huître creuse, Crassostrea gigas, repose en grande partie sur le recrutement naturel de l’espèce qui assure 70% des besoins en jeunes huîtres (naissain). | In the scope of the "Coastal ecology" thematics, the LCPC supervises a study which aims at understanding the causes and mechanisms of the summer mortality of C. Gigas. Different types of analysis conducted on the oyster (quality index, immunology, cell biology, etc.) enable the identification of a one month period preceding the acute mortality episode and during which the animals undergo a stress situation and become weaker. | The summer mortality patterns was studied in 1996 on the Ronce-les-Bains oyster bank (175 ha), located on the southern part of the Bay Marennes-Oleron (Atlantic coastline). Studies on growth, sexual maturation, survival rates and environmental variables were compared at fifteen experimental sites (on- and off-bottom culture). After 7 months, cumulative mortality reached 8-19 and 23-33% for off-bottom and on-bottom culture, respectively which is significantly higher for the latter case. | Le Bassin ostréicole de Marennes-Oléron, et globalement la Charente-Maritime, sont marqués depuis les années 80 (Héral, 1986), par un net recul des rendements de production qui engendrent une diminution de la rentabilité économique et un accroissement des coûts de production. | La comparaison des rendements de production des moules commercialisables entre les relevés professionnels du mois de juillet et les prélèvements réalisés en présence de la commission montre qu'il y a effectivement eu un évènement particulier qui a entraîné la disparition d'une partie de la ressource. Cette disparition a eu lieu après le 14 août. Elle a été estimée pour' le littoral charentais: à 66% pour la zone Marsilly Esnandes, et à 43% pour la zone Baie d'Yves, Île d'Aix . | Placopecten magellanicus production in Saint Pierre et Miquelon (NW North Atlantic) has been developed through direct seeding of juveniles on leased areas. However, most of the culture occurs in deep water ranging from 30 to 70 meters, which requires a monitoring by video to facilitate the grow-out and survival evaluation. Les sites d’Agon (Ouest Cotentin), du Vivier (baie du Mont Saint-Michel), de Pont Mahé (baie de Vilaine), de l’Aiguillon (pertuis Breton), d’Yves (pertuis d’Antioche) représentent l'élevage sur bouchot du Nord au Sud. | This study aimed to analyse the quality of the sea water flowing into the marine farm of Douhet, a gilthead bream hatchery, from the marsh-seawater reservoir to the entrance of the hatchery. The basin-seawater reservoir is not stratified in the pumping area. As a consequence, the measurements carried out at the surface to the right of the pumping dock give a good evaluation of the quality of the seawater pumped in depth.
