Pendant la période Novembre 1987 - Octobre 1988, l'échauffement de l'eau dans le canal de rejet est équivalent à la période précédente (+ 8°C à + 8.5°C): Le taux de recyclage de l'eau calculé par rapport au bromoforme est de 4.3 %. Le bromoforme présente une valeur moyenne de 14 llg/1. La concentration moyenne annuelle de vibrions est 100 fois plus élevée au rejet qu'à la prise d'eau. La destruction de la biomasse chlorophyllienne due au transit est voisine de 50 % et celle de la biomasse zooplanctonique exprimée en carbone est d'environ 40 %. La stratégie d'étude modifiée en 1989 a pour but de cerner les impacts, par comparaison entre stations et choix d'espèces cibles. La puissance de fonctionnement de la centrale varie au cours de l'année de 4.5 à 6 tranches de 900 MW, le débit de refroidissement varie de 180 à 240 m3/sec. L' échauffement moyen du canal de rej et est de 8.9 0 C. L'eau recyclée es t estimée à 5.4 %. A nuclear power plant is set up at Flamanville (Channel; West coast of the Cotentin). For monitoring studies, one species (or a group of species) has been chosen in each major unit for a reference population dynamics study. Hard bottoms are covered by several species of barnacles. These species present different temperature affinities, and have reached here an equilibrium stage. The recruitment period of Balanus balanoides, the main species, has been determined. A relationship is established between the wintry temperature and the numerical importance of its spring recruitment.
