Breeding for Disease and Insect Resistances in Keng Rice Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]Tainung 67 was crossed with Tetep, Carreon, Dawn and other donor parents followed by 3 to 4 consecutive backcrossings to Tainung 67 for improving its blast resistance. A genetic study on the BC1F1’s revealed that Tetep was most numerous in the genes resistant to 4 races of the blast fungus tested. An upland blast nursery with corn border lines facilitated the screen-testing of breeding lines. Many new selections from this breeding program were resistant to the blast disease and outyielded Tainung 67. Tainung 67 was also crossed with yellow dwarf resistant Firooz, followed by 2 consecutive backcrossings to Tainung 67. [[abstract]]From the progenies of X-rayed single interchange homozygotes of a rice variety, Taichung 65, double interchange homozygotes were isolated. These homozygotes of two ring type were treated with r-rays and the triple interchange homozygote of three ring type were successfully isolated. Both double and triple interchange homozygotes did not show distinct difference in plant characteristics from the original variety. The triple interchange heterozygotes, arosed from the test-cross, had good pollen ratios ranging from 2 to 6 percent and seed-fertility as low as 1.56 parcent or less. Effect of Seed-Blending of Rice Varieties on Grain Yield and Occurrence of Blast Disease Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]Ten blends, formed from two blast (BL) and brown planthopper resistant varieties and one susceptible major variety of rice, were tested with their component varieties in BL free and also prevailing areas. The three varieties are closely related, therefore nearly isogenic. No significant yield difference existed among entries in two tests conducted at the BL free site, while the yield difference was highly significant in the BL nursery test. Those resistant varieties and their blends were all BL resistant. [[abstract]]Anther indehiscence was the main cause of cytoplasmic-genetic male sterility for rices 65 P 2, 61 P 1 and KR 7. This type of male sterility, determined by cytoplasm and not by nucleus, was rather stable in a range of temperatures. The most significant difference of indehiscent anthers from normal ones is their strongly thickened-fibrous endothecium and their particular orientation pattern. The epidermal cells were also slightly thick-walled. Therefore the separation of intermicrosporangial stripe 1 ( IMS 1) from the underlying parenchyma along each side of the connective tissue did not occur at anthesis. X-Ray induced Semisterility of Rice Not Involving Chromosome Aberrations Easily Detectable by Cytological Means Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]Among the 87 X3 lines of rice segregated for seed fertility, 22 were found normal in chromosome behavior at diakinesis or metaphase-I in both fertile and semisterile plants. The frequencies of the individual seedset percentages in most of these 22 lines distributed in continuous manners, otherwise in a ratio of 1:1. Semisterile plants of 1:1 segregating X3 lines tended to produce progenies segregated in 1:1, while those of the continuously segregating lines showed relatively unstable breeding behavior. 不同株型水稻品種在臺北地區之生長行為與榖粒產量 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]1. 為了解臺北地區水稻栽培一年兩期的困難,從株型及栽培法之改良上解決問題。材料為臺農61號、高雄秈育12號、臺中試138號,方法為兩肥料處理,調查項目是株高、產量構成因子、葉面積指數、全乾物重、氣象等。 2. 臺北地區氣象不適合一年種植兩期水稻,第一期作之生育初期與第二期的後期均是低溫,寡日照,比較不適合水稻生長。 3. 臺農61號株高超過110公分以上,兩期作均倒伏,高雄秈育12號和臺中試138號株高很理想。臺農61號一期作無效分蘗太多,二期作受高溫抑制,分蘗太少。高雄秈育12號尚稱理想,惟第一期作初期因低溫分蘗停頓。臺中試138號第一期作具有蓬萊稻和秈稻的優點,就是分蘗高,有效分藥亦多,但第二期作却相反。 4. 兩個蓬萊稻品種的葉面積指數均是開花之前最高,約5-6.5,但以後迅速下降。高雄秈育12號品種第二期重肥區LAI太高,引起互相遮蔭,反而導致減產。 5.臺農61號全乾物重第一期作Kg/m2超過1,可惜穀/草比小於1,產量僅5噸/公頃。高雄秈育12號Kg/m2 0.8-0.9,因穀/草比大於1,產量同樣為5噸/公頃。二期作單位面積全乾物重比第一期低一些,穀/草比均小於1。 6. 穀粒產量第一期作高過第二期約27%,第一期作任何品種,均以重肥區產量較高。第二期作除臺中試138號外,重肥反而減產。 7. 用育種方法將秈稻中之半矮性因子引入蓬萊稻中,將可育成半矮性之優良品種。除去蓬萊稻第二期作對高溫之敏感及秈稻第一期作對低溫之敏慼性,以增加有效分蘗,蓬萊稻使用「V」字型施肥法可減少無效分蘗及保持生育後期LAI高,結果產量增加。育成第二期作全乾物重(kg/m2)大於1,穀/草比率亦大於1的品種,均有助於米穀增產。 1. 放射線誘發突變稻品系之糙米粗蛋白質含量 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]本省水稻之栽培歷年來發展神速,惟多著重於多產、抗病、耐肥等品種之育成。至於品質方面之改良工作則至今少見付之實行者。值此缺乏營養食糧供應之今日,除了研究如何提高糧食作物之產量外,研究如何提高營養分含量乃是一件刻不容緩之工作。 查林等(1962)曾測定全省主要稻品種糙米之粗蛋白質含量,並指出蓬萊稻品種之含蛋白質量於第一期作變異於7-9%之間,平均為8.34%,於第二期作則為7.5-10.5%之間,平均為8.55%(均為Oven-dry basis)。一般說在臺灣越向北,糙米的含蛋白質量有越高之傾向,又在來稻蛋白質的含量有比蓬萊稻高之傾向。國際稻米研究所(1966)由保存全世界稻種8,500品種中抽出4,023樣本,並報告其糙米之蛋白質含量變異於5.6-18.2%之間,平均為9.9+ 1.8%均為(wet basis)。 Tamura等(1968)報告日本實用品種之蛋白質含量變異於5.3-9.3%之間,並由γ-線處理農林8號後代所得之矮性突變種其含蛋白質量為10-12%之間,此為原品種之含蛋白質量之170-200%。本試驗使用民國47-50年前後所舉行的放射線突變育種計劃所得,並保存的107個突變品系,做糙米的粗蛋白質含量之調查。本工作於民國56年中開始到57年中才完成,其間包括化學分析人員之訓練。本試驗的化學分析方法,得本所農化系李蘭帝先生指導,謹此表示謝忱。 1. 氮鉀肥分施法對稻谷產量及農藝性狀之影響 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]本試驗係以三種氮鉀施肥法及二種不同之株型稻,作田間試驗,以探討其對稻穀之產量及對農藝性狀之影響。經一年二期作試驗及詳細調查各性狀後,結果摘要如下: 1. 不同施肥法對矮腳尖之分蘗數之影響較農育61號為大,肥料分施可促進矮腳尖之分蘗,V字型法則降低其分蘗數。農育61號則頗為穩定,受不同施肥法之影響少,第二期作之分蘗數均比第一期作為少。 2. 生育前期之株高,不論期作或處理間差異都很少,至幼穗形成期及抽穗期,概以肥料分施法之株高較高,慣用法次之,V字型法最低。經調查節間之長度結果,以穗下第四、五兩節間的長度差異最為明顯,兩品種均以慣用法最長,其次為分施法,V字型法的節間最短。 3. 一株平均乾物量,農育61號大於矮腳尖。矮腳尖之乾物量在第一期作抽穗前,V字型法低於他二施肥法,但至成熟期反而較高。農育61號則始終以V字型法最低。第二期作,矮腳尖則以慣用法之平均乾物量最高,肥料分施法最低。農育61號則以V字型法最高,慣用法殿後。 4. 葉面積指數,第一期作,除矮腳尖在分施法區於抽穗期顯示高峰外,二品種在各處理區均在幼穗形成期達最高峰。就各品種之處理言,以V字型法最低。第二期作則以抽穗期達最高,但仍以V字型施肥法最低。如以兩期作葉面積指數的變化比較,矮腳尖,第二期作在抽穗期以前均比第一期作高,抽穗期以後第一期作比第二期作高;農育61號除分蘗期與抽穗期第二期作高拱第一期作外,其餘時期第一期作高於第二期作。 5. 稻谷產量就品種言,農育61號之產量高於矮腳尖,以處理言,V字型施肥法產量最高,其次為分施法,慣用法的產量最低。就期作言,第一期作的產量高於第二期作。施肥法對產量的影響,在第二期作較為明顯,V字型法對農育61號的增產效果比對矮腳尖顯明。 6....

水稻品種對黃萎病抗病性之初步檢定試驗 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]水稻的黃萎病(Yellow dwarf)係由黑尾浮塵子(Nephotettix apicalis)及偽黑尾浮塵子(N. cincticeps)所傳播的一種菌質病(Mycoplasm disease)。本病普遍發生於亞洲國家,1910年在日本首先發現,而在臺灣則於1929年黑澤英一氏發現該病發生於第二期作之蓬萊稻。然在當時併不嚴重,殆至近年來發生率普遍增高。據農林廳之調查於53年全省發病之水稻田面積為5,877.84公頃,發生地區以宜蘭縣、桃園縣、新竹縣、苗栗縣、臺中縣、彰化縣等為主,其他縣市發生面積較少或無發生,但至54年全省發病面積增為8,050.45公頃,55年復增為41,799.79公頃,此趨勢有繼續之傾向而成為一嚴重水稻病害。 按本病之發生預防方法,雖可用藥劑驅除媒介昆蟲或清除其潛伏處所,撲滅越冬成蟲或幼蟲,但媒介昆蟲移動性甚大,不易收事半功倍之效,故最經濟而有效的預防方法為育成抗病品種。邱人璋氏 (1966)綜合報告有關本省水稻品種之抗黃萎病檢定經過如下:1932年黑澤氏曾調查49個水稻品種之黃萎病抵抗性,其中包括臺中65號,發現全部品種均屬感病性。大崎氏(1948)檢定18個品種之本病抗病性,其中新竹8號、臺中153號、嘉南13號及高雄18號等四種未罹病。臺中改良場於1960年第二期作在東勢所做之稻熱病檢定田內意外的得到參試品種之黃萎病反應。結果參試45個品種全部罹病。南改育27號之罹病率最低,即11.9%。 為對本病獲得進一步之認識,乃於民國57年第一期作進行試驗準備,同時進行檢定工作,茲將檢定方法及結果,作一簡要報導。 Due to the increasing importance of yellow dwarf disease in Taiwan, a...

[[abstract]]水稻品種台農 67 號是由(臺中試 138 號 × 台農 61 號) × 台農 51 號之後代選出。全省區域試驗第一期作平均比對照種增產 10.5%,第二期作增產 11.9%。其高產特性於臺北及新竹區地方試驗再度確認。本品種之全生育日數與對照種相似,植株稍矮,較耐肥及耐倒伏。其稻熱病抵抗性與臺南 5 號相似,稍抗細菌性白葉枯病,稍耐飛蝨及小粒菌核病。米質達一般蓬萊稻之標準。 Rice variety Tainung 67, a selection from the cross of Taichung Shih 138 X Tainung 61/2, outyielded the control varieties in the regional yield tests by 10.5% in the first rice crop and by 11.9% in the second crop on a provincial average. 水稻細胞質雄不稔性之一些特質 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]為明瞭稻細胞質雄不稔性之性質,以具有Chinsurah BoroⅡ細胞質雄不稔性之臺農61號、臺中65號、臺南5號、新竹矮腳尖、IR-579-48-1-2;新竹矮腳尖×臺南5號之F1以及其各親本等諸品種為材料,進行本試驗,所得結果概述如下: 1. 花扮母細胞減數分裂之觀察結果,親本、細胞質雄不稔系統及F1等並無明顯之染色體異常發生(僅約0~2%之單價,四價,染色體橋及13:11之分離比出現),證實染色體之變異與不稔性無關。 2. 細胞質雄不稔個體,除TNG 61 MS, TC 65 MSI及IR-597-48-1-2 MS在30/25℃日夜溫下成部份稔實外,其餘各系統不論溫度如何,均僅有甚低的花扮率和結實率。此外套袋可使結實率降低,如IGG (10%),TC 65 (7%),TNG 61 MS (15%),及IR-579-48-1-2 MS(10%)。 3. 在人工氣候室20/15℃日夜溫下,第一期作所有供試品種,其花粉率與結實率皆很低,幾乎為零(約0~5%),30/25較25/20℃者產生較高之花粉率與結實率,二者平均花粉率之差異依次為10/16%(親本),12%(TNG 61 MS),0%(TC 65 MS)。平均結實率之差異為20%(TNG 61 MS),3%(TC 65 MS)。30/25及25/30℃之溫度對第二期作之花粉率和結實率的影響與一期作相似。 4. 在30/25與25/20℃日夜溫下,親本與細胞質雄不稔系統,可親本與F1之花紛囊胞子原層並無明顯異常發現,故胞子原層的異常與細胞質雄不稔性並無密切關係。在20/15℃下之胞子原層除TC 65...

[[abstract]]以臺南5號與臺中184號為親本的雜種第二代及混合品種,在田間自然病圃進行抗稻熱病檢定,結果摘要如下:在抗葉稻熱病方面,就病斑型調查結果而言,混合品種較兩品種單獨栽培的平均值有偏向感病的趨勢;而雜種第二代則較混合品種抗病,尤其在最高分蘗期更為明顯。就葉稻熱病的罹病率而言,混合品種的罹病率比其兩品種單獨栽培的平均罹病率為低,而雜種第二代比混合品種抗病。雜種第二代感病後之恢復能力亦較混合品種為強。 在抗穗頸稻熱病方面,混合品種的穗頸稻熱病罹病率比其兩品種單獨栽培之平均罹病率為高。雜種第二代抗穗頸稻熱病的能力比混合品種為強。至於稻谷產量方面,以抗病品種臺中184號的產量為最高,其次分別為雜種第二代與混合品種,感病品種臺南5號之產量最低。廣義的遺傳力估算,抗葉稻熱病為94.24%;抗穗頸稻熱病為83.18%。 Tainan 5, a high yielding rice variety but susceptible to blast was crossed with a blast resistant variety, Taichung 184, in the spring of 1969,in order to study the reaction of F2 population to rice blast under field condition. [[abstract]]水稻品種臺農69 號是由F3 (臺農6lM510 -14 / Oryza rufipogon) //臺農62 號之雜交後代選出。第一期作比臺農67 號低產4 %-5%,第二期作高產8 %-19.3%。在全省性區域試驗比臺農67 號減產4 %-7%。本品種有相當廣幅又穩定的稻熱病抵抗性,同時亦抗細菌性白葉枯病,並具有臺農67 號相似之紋枯病忍耐性。臺農69 號不但抗褐飛蝨1 、2 、3 生理型、也抗白背飛蝨並受斑飛蝨之害亦較緩慢。本品種的米質、株高、抽穗期等特性與臺農67 號相似,但稻稈稍軟不如臺農67 號耐倒伏,故其肥料反應也稍差。 Rice variety Tainung 69 is a selection from the progenies of a cross between F3 (Tainung 61 M510 -14 / Oryza rufipogon) and Tainung 62. 水稻花藥培養後代雜種集團稻穀產量與產量構成因素之比較 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]本試驗以稉稻雜交F1植株花藥培養所獲得之五個品系為親本,進行為數共十個組合之半互交,於民國76年第一期作及77年第一、二期作以其F1、F2、及F3植株與親本為材料,並以臺農67號品種為對照,於田間栽培試驗,採用逢機完全區集設計,重複三次,探討經花藥培養所得同質雙單元體之稻穀產量及其構成因素表現。試驗結果顯示,各品種間稻穀產量在第一期作之差異顯著,第二期則差異不顯著,第一期作之年度間差異亦不顯著;第一、二期作間稻穀產量之差異達顯著水準,但品種間於第一、二期作的表現並不一致。雜種優勢因組合而有正負頗大之差異,且各世代之表現不同,F1及F2各組合平均產量相似,且皆優於F3。特殊組合力以臺農育10077/臺農育12355及臺農育10077/臺農育12357組合較高,Fl及F2之一般組合力以臺農育10077較佳,F3之一般組合力則以臺農育12363較佳,自交衰退率因組合而異,一般而言以F2較小,F3較大。產量與穗數在第一、二期作皆呈極顯著正相關,產量與稔實率、千粒重只在第二期作呈現顯著或極顯著正相關;稔實率與千粒重為顯著或極顯著正相關,穗數與穎花數呈負相關,穎花數與稔實率及千粒重為負相關。產量構成因素對產量之影響以穗數最大,其餘依次為穎花數、千粒重及稔實率。

[[abstract]]1.本試驗為探討水稻品種間,有關穀粒產量是否有什種優勢,以及其利用價值為目的。曾什交160個組合,但秧苗期遭遇冷害之影響,實際供試驗者有90個什交組合。 2.供試F1中有65個什交組合,表現有抗寒之優勢,此抗寒因子似係顯性因子之控制,但另有19及40個組合顯示為可加性及隱性因子所控制。詳細之遺傳行為,有待進一步之研究。 3.植高及分蘗在什種F1之生長初期,多數的組合有什種優勢之表現,但隨植株高度之增加,即後半期,此表現似有減退之現象,尤其株高較為明顯。 4.什種F1之抽穗期,組合間雖有差異,但多數比較早抽穗親本早或相同。 5.有關穀粒產量,共有44個什交組合F1,表現有什種優勢。多數係穗數及一穗粒數等因子之貢獻其中以H276(臺中176號 × 臺中150號)及H104(臺農60號 × 光復401號)等組合之優勢表,現最佳,高達60%之多。產量高於對照品種臺中65號者有31個組合,但優於另一對照品種臺南3號者僅有H55(臺農38號 × 光復401號)及H24(臺南3號 × 臺中65號)。 6.植高及分蘗在F2各組合間之差異不大,但生育日數差異較明顯,最早者為H145(愛國 × 臺中186號)僅94天,最晚者為H130(PiNo2 × 高雄135號)多達129天之多。成熟整齊度除H145,H83及H18等較整齊之外其他組合不太整齊。 7.什種第二代之產量檢定,經統計分析結果,組合間有顯著差異,其中以H18(臺農選3號 × 吉野1號),H276(臺中176 × 臺中150號)等7個組合之產量最佳,此些組合在Fl亦有同樣優良之表現。 1. 水稻雜種優勢之研究-Ⅱ.水稻品種間雜種第一代於不同栽培環境之適應性研究 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]本試驗係以臺中65號×臺南3號與光復401號×臺農38號等兩個什交組合之Fl為供試材料,以臺南3號為對照品種。於民國58年第二期作,以二種不同氮肥用量及二種不同栽植密度,採用雙裂區設計法,期以探求水稻什種後代Fl在不同栽培環境下對稻穀產量之影響,其結果摘要如下: 1.生育日數因氮肥之增施而延長,因密植而縮短。供試材料中,以光復401號×臺農38號之Fl集團生育日數120天最短,對照品種之133天最長。 2.供試各處理之稻殺產量,因氣肥施用量之增加而減低。其主要原因乃受結責率及千粒重等低減之影響。 3.兩供試雜交組合之Fl在普通肥料用量下,密植較疏植為優。 4.不論為什種Fl或對照品種,於增肥環境下,疏植區之一穗粒數及千粒重等產量構成因素均優於密植區,因此其產量亦遠較密植區為高。 5.以此二組合產量言,光復401號×臺農38號之產量最高,次為對照品種臺南3號,臺中65號×臺南3號殿後。 1.The objective of this experiment is to study the response of two crosses of hybrid rice, Taichung 65 x Tainan 3 and Kwan-fu 401 x Tainung 38, which showed the highest hybrid vigor in terms of grain yield in 1968’s screening test. 生長素對早熟稻產量及產量構成因素之影響 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]以早熟稻品種日本晴(Nipponbare),廣陸矮 4 號(Kwang - lu - ai 4)及本地現行栽培品種臺農 67 號(Tainung 67)為材料,於 1978 年 1、2 期作種植於田間。在分蘗開始期及分蘗盛期施用 Chloroflurenol ( IT3456 , methyl-2-Chloro-9-hydroxy-fluroene -(9)-carbo-xylate ) 1 mM,並於幼穗分化期、孕穗期及乳熟期加施 50 ppm 之 SNA ( sodium naphthal - ene acetic acid) 與 2000 倍稀釋液之 SNP ( sodium nitrophenol) 之混合液,以及 50 ppm 之 GA3 ( gibberellin ),調查其對稻作生育之反應及對產量之影響。試驗結果摘要如下:(1)施用 Chloroflurenol 對分蘗數之增加有顯著之效果(1 期作增加 3~12 % , 2 期作增加 9~19 %),但所增加之分藥大部份為無效分蘗,且由於分蘗數之增加會導致-穗平均粒數及千粒重之降低。(2)生育後期加施 SNA 與 SNP 混合液可使增加之無效分蘗成為有效分蘗,-株穗數、發育穎花數、結實率及千粒重亦增加,因而使產量增加 4 - 11%(1 期作)及 5 – 14%(2 期作)。(3)加施 GA3 對株高、穗長及粒長有顯著影響外,對其他農藝性狀效果不穩定。(4)三供試品種間,以臺農 67 號對不同生長素處理有較好之反應;稉型早熟品種日本晴因施用 Chloroflurenol 而促進之分藥數增加效果最大;秈型早熟品種廣陸矮 4 號對上述生長素處理,則在一株穗數、千粒重及株高方面較其他供試品種增加效果大。 A sudy was...

秈稻細胞質雄不稔稔性恢復基因之遺傳分析 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]為尋求細胞質雄不稔性的稔性恢復基因之可用性及瞭解稔性恢復基因的遺傳行為,以便直接利用或供為轉移稔性恢復基因至其他優良品種或梗稻品種(系)之參考,將 Zhen Shan 97A (WA)、V20A (WA)兩個細胞質雄不稔品種和具有稔性恢復能力的臺農秈育172、178兩品系雜交,所得四個組合的F1、F2,調查其結實率、花粉率、莖基色、稃尖色、柱頭色、內外穎顏色等性狀。結果顯示:同屬 WA 型之兩個細胞質雄不稔母本與同一父本雜交所得F1及F2的稔性恢復之遺傳方式有相似之趨勢,但同一不稔系與不同父本雜交時之恢復稔性有不相似之遺傳行為。以酒井氏的遺傳變方估算稔性恢復基因對數,臺農秈育178可能最少具有四對顯性之稔性恢復基因,臺農秈育172可能至少具有三對顯性稔性恢復基因參與。這些稔性恢復基因推測具有互補及加性作用,即僅有一個顯性基因時無有效的恢復能力,即花粉稔性低於45%,有二個顯性基因時可恢復稔性45%至 91% 左右,而有三個或三個以上之顯性基因時,其稔性可完全恢復如父本者。根據此假設,以三對和四對基因的理論分離比與供試之四組 F2 集團的實測值比較,結果顯示花粉率的分離狀況與假設之條件相當符合,結實率的分離狀況亦大致符合。F2集團的花粉率與結實率有極顯著的相關,莖基色與稃尖、柱頭色有緊密的連鎖關係,重組合值介於 1.6%至8.1%之間,而莖基色與花粉率、結實率是互相獨立的,內外穎顏色與花粉率、結實率亦無可信賴的相關。 Two cytoplasmic male sterile varieties of indica rice, Zhen Shan 97A (P1) and V20A (P2) of WA type, were respectively crossed with two...

[[abstract]]為配合一年一期稻作,改變本省作物輸作制度之需,於氣溫較高的夏季,在全省八個地點,測驗8個秈稻雜種品系中間作之稻穀產量及適應性。參試品系在各地之稻穀產量差異極大。臺秈雜育5、6、10號等三品系的全省平均產量較高,比對照品種臺中秈10號增產8.2~3.2%。在北部二處臺秈雜育10號產量達6.8~6.9t/ha,增產幅度有16~28%,顯示上述構想在北部是可行的。臺秈雜育1、7、11號等三品系因具有感光性,受夏季長日影響而零星抽穗,產量偏低;但在嘉義(鹿草)因蟲害嚴重改採宿根栽培,延至11月上旬收擭,其產量奇高,最高達8.5t/ha,遠高於對照品種。然在嘉義分所另一處(溪口)卻因病蟲害嚴重而致廢耕。此等結果顯示單交雜種品系的特殊組合力因環境而有很大之差異,在適當環境下有可能發揮高產之潛力。如何利用其特殊組合力或感光性使雜種優勢能發揮其最高之潛力,將是下一步的試驗目的。 To explore a single rice crop a year to fit into the rotational system with other crops, 8 Indica hybrid rice strains were tested for their yield potentials and adaptabilities at 8 locations in between the first and second crop seasons when temperatures were high. [[abstract]]試驗的目的在調整雜種水稻品系之種植適期,利用疑似感光性,探討每年種植單期作條件下,是否可發揮雜種優勢而提高增產潛力,以應稻田轉作政策及改進輪作制度之需。本試驗於民國77年利用氣溫較高之夏秋季於全省七個地點進行,測驗八個秈稻雜種品系之稻穀產量及適應性。試驗結果顯示;參試品系在各地之稻穀產量差異極大,在桃園新屋、花蓮、宜蘭三星三處因種植期較早,臺秈雜育1、7及11號等三品系因抽穗障礙而致產量偏低或全無收穫,僅有臺秈雜育2與6號兩品系的平均稻穀產量比對照品種臺中秈10號稍高;在彰化大村等四處採用一般正常二期作之早植,疑似感光性之臺秈雜育1、7及11號三品系平均稻穀產量較對照品種增產10.1─24.9%。臺秈雜育2號在各試驗地區產量最穩定,不論於五月的中間作或七月的一般二期作早植栽培,其平均產量都超過對照品種臺中秈10號。試驗結果顯示如能適當的調整種植時期及利用雜種品系之疑似感光性,可使雜種水稻品系發揮其高產潛力。
