Calculating linkage intensities by product method Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]General formulae for testing the expected phenotypic ratios and for detecting the linkage are given. Tables for obtaining crossing over values by the product method for different mating types and different phenotypic ratios are appended. Standard error can also be found along with the estimate. An example is given to illustrate the use of the appended tables.

Component Analysis of Heterozygous Diallel Crosses Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]By constructing separate models for selfings and crossbreds based on their genotypic values, the genetic components analysis of Hayman and the combining ability analysis of Griffing for a diallel crosses were proved to be essentially equivalent and were combined to provide estimates of various genetic parameters of the sampled population from a heterozygous diallel. Difference in estimation of genetic parameters between homozygous diallel and heterozynous diallel were indicated. 本文依據異質型全互交自交後代與雜交後代不同基因型值分別建立其數學模式以證明在全互交分析上 Hayman 氏之遺傳成分分析法與 Griffing 氏之組合力分析法基本上為等義的,且綜合此二種分析法來分析異質型全互交以對取樣族群提供各項遺傳介量之估值。文中亦指出異質型全互交與同質型全互交在遺傳介量估算上之差異。

Variance Component Analysis of Unbalanced Diallel Crosses Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]This paper presents an efficient and stable method for estimating variance components from an unbalanced diallel crosses. The method follows the general procedure for computing the sums of squares in a random model by formulating testable hypotheses as if all effects were fixed and then compute the corresponding sums of squares. Expected sums of squares are derived from the expectations of quadratic forms of the observations. 大粒水稻之遺傳研究 I. 抽穗期、株高、每株穗數及一穗頴花數之遺傳 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]以包括親本與正反交組合之9 × 9 全互交F1材料探討大粒水稻主要性狀之遺傳。抽穗期、株高、每株穗數及一穗頴花數等4個重要農藝性狀親本間遺傳變異均極大,此變異係由累加性與顯性效應所引起。除抽穗期外,餘3性狀之累加性效應均遠大於顯性效應。4個重要農藝性狀之狹義遺傳率均頗高,指出4性狀之表現型變異主由累加性效應控制。4個重要農藝性狀均發現有細胞質效應。經由迥歸與變方分析估得4個性狀之顯性程度除抽德期為完全顯性外,餘均為部分或不完全顯性,正負等位基因之頻度在親本間之分布不等,且顯性基因多於隱性基因數。而藉迴歸圖析及親本顯性次序之判定,抽穗期早者為顯性,餘3性狀之顯性方向是為雙方向。 The inheritance of main characters of larger kernel size of rice were studied by means of a 9 × 9 diallel crosses including parents and reciprocal crosses. 大粒水稻之遺傳研究-III.穀產量、生物產量及收穫指數之遺傳 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]以 Griffing 及 Jinks-Hayman 氏等兩套全互交分析方法,分析包括親本與正反交組合之 9 × 9 全互交材料,以探討水稻單株穀產量、生物產量及收穫指數之遺傳行為。此三個性狀親本間之遺傳變異均極大,此變異係由累加性與顯性效應所引起,除收穫指數為累加性效應約等於顯性應外,餘 2 性狀之顯性效應均顯著地大於累加性效應。三個性狀之一般組台力與特殊組合力效應均存在,而一般組合力又較特殊組合力重要,其比率約為 4:1。被報告三性狀均發現有細胞質效應。經由迴歸與變方分析估得三性狀之顯性程度為超顯性。正負等位基因在親本間之分佈三性狀均不等。單株穀產量及收穫指數等兩性狀之顯性基因數等於隱性基因數;而生物產量之顯性基因數則多於隱性基因數。經藉迴歸圖析及親本顯性次序判定,指出穀產量少者為顯性,餘兩性狀之顯性方向為雙力向。估得三性狀之狹義遺傳率均低。 The inheritance or grain yield, biological yield and harvest index for larger kernel size or rice were studied by mean of a 9 X 9 diallel crosses including parents and reciprocal crosses. 秈稻烹調與食用品質及穀粒性狀之遺傳 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]以包括親本與正反交組合之5 × 5 秈稻全互交組合研究秈稻烹調興食用品質及穀粒大小等7 個性狀之遺傳。被評估7 個品質性狀之親本間的遺傳變異極大,此種變異係由累加性與顯性效應所引起。除膠體硬度外,各性狀之累加性效應均遠大於顯性效應。各性狀之遺傳率值均很高,強調表現型變異主由累加性效應控制。鹼質擴散度、顆粒澱粉含量、膠體硬度、粒寬及粒厚等性狀有細胞質效應。經由迴歸與變方分析估得7 個被評估性狀之顯性程度除膠體硬度為完全顯性外,餘均為部分或不完全顯性。其經迴歸圖及親本顯性次序估算判定低鹼質擴散度、低蛋白質含量、高顆粒澱粉含量、高膠體硬度、長粒、寬粒及厚粒為顯性。正負等位基因之頻度烹調與食用品質性狀相等,穀粒大小性狀不等。鹼質擴散度、蛋白質含量及顆粒澱粉含量之顯性因子總數與隱性因子總數相等,膠體硬度及穀粒大小等4 性狀則隱性因子總數多於顯性因子數。 The inheritance of 7 quality and grain characteristics related to cooking and eating qualities as well as grain dimensions in indica rice were studied by means of 5 × 5 diallel crosses including parents and reciprocal crosses. 米飯物理性與官能品嚐之關係 Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute

[[abstract]]本研究以分別插植於本省北、中及南等5個地點之9個水稻品種的材料供試。測定各該米飯樣品之硬度、凝集性、彈性、脆性、咀嚼性及黏性等諸種米飯物理性,再配合相同材料之官能品嚐成績(臺中場負責品嚐),以進行米飯物理性與官能品嚐關係之探討。試驗結果經變方分析後顯示:除凝集性僅品種間差異顯著外,餘官能品嚐、硬度、彈性、脆性、咀嚼性及黏性等性狀之地點間、品種間及地點與品種間之交感等三類變方成分均極顯著。官能品嚐與諸米飯物理性之相關關係,5地點間除彈性外餘均一致,皆呈極顯著負相關。官能品嚐依諸米飯物理性而變之淨迴歸係數,5個地點皆不顯著,但5地點綜合分析時則硬度、凝集性、脆性及咀嚼性等4性狀之淨迴歸係數具統計意義。路徑係數分析之數據指出,硬度之負的影響程度最大;而脆性的正的效應值則最大。 Human panel testing score tested by Taichung District Agricultural Improvement Station and physical properties of cooked rice, such as hardness, cohesiveness, elasicity, brittleness, chewiness and gumminess, measured by Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute were for the purpose of elucidating the relationship between human panel testing score and physical properties.
