Agronomic characteristics of tomato plant cultivar Santa Cruz Kada grafted on species of the genus Solanum Horticultura Brasileira

ABSTRACT In this study were evaluated gas exchanges, fruit production and fruit quality of tomato Santa Cruz Kada grafted onto different species of the genus Solanum, using two grafting methods. ABSTRACT: This study carried out agronomic evaluation and estimated the combining ability of tomato lines for the industrial segment, aiming to elect promising genotypes for breeding and to find simple hybrids with superior traits. Randomized-blocks design was used with 57 treatments (45 experimental hybrids, 10 lines and 2 checks treatments) with 3 replications. A complete diallel among 10 tomato lines for processing was used. Evaluated traits were: fruit total (YT) and commercial production (YC), pulp yield (YP), fruit average mass (MM) and total soluble solids content (TSS). Características físicas e químicas da polpa de híbridos de tomateiro, durante o armazenamento congelado Horticultura Brasileira

O tomate, devido à sua rápida deterioração, torna necessário o congelamento da polpa dos frutos para análises posteriores, porém esse processo pode resultar em perdas consideráveis em sua composição. O objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar física e quimicamente a polpa congelada de frutos de dois híbridos de tomateiro (Granadero e Tinto). Os frutos foram colhidos no estádio de maturação completo, e em seguida foram triturados. Caracterização agronômica de genótipos de minitomate Horticultura Brasileira

A caracterização dos genótipos pertencentes aos bancos de germoplasma é de suma importância pela possibilidade de identificação de genes de interesse para o melhoramento genético vegetal. Foram avaliados 64 genótipos de minitomate do Banco de Germoplasma da Universidade Estadual do Centro-Oeste, em Guarapuava-PR. O delineamento experimental consistiu de blocos casualisados com três repetições e quatro plantas por parcela. Dez genótipos se destacaram quanto à produtividade equivalente à da cultivar Sweet Grape. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar o desempenho agronômico, a heterose e a estabilidade fenotípica de 50 genótipos de cebola (uma linhagem e oito híbridos experimentais do grupo Baia, 10 linhagens e 22 híbridos experimentais do grupo Crioula, seis variedades de polinização aberta e três híbridos comerciais) em três épocas de cultivo em Guarapuava-PR, na safra 2010/2011.
