Biocombustibles en Chile. II. Evaluación económica de la elaboración de biocombustibles Agrociencia

Para determinar si la producción de biocombustibles en Chile es económicamente factible se realizó una evaluación a nivel de productor agrícola y de planta productora, considerando cinco especies cultivadas en distintos sistemas productivos. El análisis de los resultados mostró que la rentabilidad agrícola varió entre -43.2 % y 30.4 %, esto es, algunas opciones serían no sostenibles. En planta, la producción de etanol y biodiésel fue rentable al usar maíz (Zea mays L.) y raps (Brassica napus L.) como insumo. Sin embargo, sólo la producción doméstica de biodiésel a base de raps pudo abastecer un 2 % de sustitución de combustibles fósiles por biocombustibles. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of canola extracts obtained by different forms of extraction (alcohol, macerated, watery without reservation time and infusion), in control of Botrytis cinerea in vitro and gray mold in post-harvest strawberries cv. Camarosa. In vitro condition two experiments were conducted, being mycelial growth and conidia germination in a factorial 4 X 5, with factors extraction modes and extracts concentrations (0, 3, 6, 9 e 12%), with four replicates. Post-harvest were tested four types of extracts at a concentration of 16%. CCanola is an oilseed species with the potential for broad use in grain production systems in Southern Brazil. However, the uneven ripening of seedpods, which feature natural dehiscence, causing excessive grain losses during ripening and harvesting times. Background: For successful in vitro plant regeneration, plant cell lines with multiple transgene integration and low transgene expression levels need to be ruled out. Zeolite and selenium application and their effects on production and physiological attributes of canola cultivars under water stress Agrociencia

To study the effects of zeolite and selenium (Se) application on production and physiological attributes of three canola (Brassica napus L.) cultivars under water stress, an experiment was conducted in two growing seasons (2006 and 2007), at Karaj, Iran. The experimental design was randomized complete blocks in factorial split plot with three replications, and three factors: 1) irrigation: complete and restricted at stem elongation stage; 2) zeolite: 0 and 10 t ha-1; 3) Se (as sodium selenate): 0, 15 and 30 g L-1. These treatments were randomized into Zarfam, Okapi and Sarigol canola cultivars.
